The Iron Man

A short note about the writer

1. Ted Hughes was from the both of England. He started writing when he was at school. He wrote poems for the school magazine.

2. Hughes studied at Cambridge University , then from 1957-1959 he taught English in the USA. When he returned to England, he stopped teaching and worked as a writer.

3. Hughes loved nature and it often influenced his writing. He wrote about the beautiful animals and birds of England.

4. Hughes was one of the best poets of the 1900s, but he also wrote successful children's books.

5. In 1970, he bought a farm in the southwest of England and enjoyed writing and farming there. He died aged 68.
