Love At First Sight

chapter 1

Taylor's pov
"Oiiiiiii" I shouted across the room
" what do you want ?!" my brother, Austin replied.
Today was a big day. It was my first time attending the Grammy awards. I was wearing a dark turquoise dress which made my eyes pop out. My makeup was soft with a matte eyeshadow, a bit of blush and a bright red lip to put it all together. I looked at myself in the mirror and I had to admit, I did look kinda good. But I was missing my necklace.
" Austin, please get my necklace. I can't go without it and I'm gonna be late!"
I couldn't go without it. It was my mother's once and it always gave  me good luck. It brought me comfort even after she passed away.

I couldn't take it anymore. My mum was right next to me in the hospital bed and it hurt my heart seeing her looking like this. Her face was pale and her eyes were red and filled with pain.
"Taylor darling, I want you to have this necklace - it's been passed down for generations and is very precious to us. I want you to take it so that it reminds you of me. And trust me it will work wonders in your life so don't lose it." my mum said with her fragile voice.
" I love you"
" I love you too mum" I said holding her hand
And just like that she was gone.
My entire family was here and it felt like a piece of me had just disappeared.
(End of flashback)

" You look beautiful sis," Austin said bringing me back to earth.

" thank you" I replied putting my necklace on.

I exited the house and walked through the swarm of paparazzi and finally got into the limo waiting for me.
I couldn't wait for tonight.

A/N omd thank you so much for reading this.  This is my first book on watpad and I'm really excited to write this book.
