I was running through the forest in my lion form, courtesy of Aslan I could change into any animal. I felt the snow crunch beneath my paws.

I loved winter but hated who ruled it. I love the smell of the snow, and how the cold felt so crisp. It left me feeling refreshed.

It had been almost a century since Aslan left me at the lamp post and I was beginning to question his actions. He said that the sons of Adam and the daughters of Eve would come but its been a hundred years. I was beginning to lose hope.

I was running until I caught a scent of something I couldn't identify. I slowed my pace and stalked around trying to find its origin. I soon spotted movement on one of the paths.

I crept behind a bush and peered over. It was a boy. He had dark hair and dark brown eyes, and he looked utterly lost. He was stumbling around shaking from the cold. A human should not be in Narnia.

I heard the sound of a sleigh approaching and quickly hid behing my bush. I peered around it and saw it heading straight for the boy. It didnt stop it just kept going and forced the boy to jump out of the way.

It stopped farther down the path and a dwarf hopped out. The boy saw it and started to run but the dwarf was smarter. He lashed out with the whip and tripped the boy. The dwarf ran up and pinned him down and held a dagger to his throat.

I saw their mouths moving but couldn't make anything out. I saw the dwarf raise the dagger in a death blow when the Witch stopped him. The boy stood up and walked with the Witch to her sleigh.

Thats when I decided I should run. Ever since Aslan left the the Witch knew who I was and sent her secret police after me. There were many times when they almost caught me. I couldn't risk being seen.

I ran all the way back to my home. I had been living with a pair of beavers for a long time. They insisted that I stayed with them and now they were my family. They knew who I truly was and what my destiny held.

I had to change forms or else I wouldn't be able to fit inside the dam. I shrank down in to a white cat. Ever since the first winter when I would change forms they would be white no matter how hard I tried to change the color it never worked.

I scratched on the door to be let in and Mrs. Beaver opened the door.

"Willow! Where have you been? I've been worried sick." she exclaimed as I entered.

I jumped up on the counter and started to lick my paw.

"They're here", I stated before continuing to lick my other paw.

"What are you talking about?" Mr. Beaver asked looking up from his mug of tea.

"The children from the prophecy", I said. I jumped down from the table.

"In Narnia?" Mrs. Beaver asked as she prepared dinner.

"Yes and that also means Aslan shall be here soon," I said looking down at my paws.

"Willow how long has it been since you've seen him?" Mr. Beaver asked looking at me sadly.

"Almost a hundred years", I replied not looking up.

"But I am ready to fulfill my purpose here." I finally looked up determination in my eyes.
