Dark Flashes | Billy Hargrove

Prologue

November 4th, 1984.
That was the day that things changed for many people in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. The gate was closed, leaving everyone involved feeling a little less on edge. The fear if the gate reopening never leaves of course, but they can all at least feel a little safer from other dimensional creatures in their own neighbourhoods.

November 5th, 1984 - January 1st, 1985.
Christmas had come and passed with no incident and many of the kids had grown closer to each other with the passing weeks. Steve Harrington still hangs out the six kids, often becoming their escort and babysitter. He and Nancy Wheeler are on a bit if a better page, leading to him becoming acquainted with Jonathan Byers. The three are together often, even if Steve would rather spend time with the younger kids.

Eleven, or rather Jane Hopper, is still not enrolled in school but she does get to go out every once and a while. Hopper drives her to Will's house and to Mikes occasionally. Other than her own house, she doesn't go anywhere else. She understands why, and as long as she gets to see Mike she's okay with it.

Max and Eleven had sorted out their differences after a short amount of time and had actually become pretty great friends. The kids seem to be the least phased by everything, and this is a big relief to the adults.

Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers have been spending a lot of time together after everything, dealing with their kids as well as their own mindsets. Joyce's house is the hotspot where the kids all hang out, and she usually has a house full. Literally. Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Max are over practically every day after school to see Eleven who Hopper drops off in the mornings before work. Nancy and Steve often come after school as well, and Steve drives the boys home later in the evening. After everything, they have all grown very close, like a family.

January 2nd, 1985.
Well, that's the day that things start to change.
