I really didn't pay any attention in class cause all I could think about was the fact that Finnick Odair talked to me and shook my hand.
On the ride home he sat in front of me again but didn't talk to me.
I got off the train and started to walk home.
"Ey Annie wait up a sec," I turned around and it was Finnick.
"Are you following me home." I asked.
"No actually my house is the one all the way down there, I never knew that that was your house over there."
I nodded my head.
"How old are you like 13." he asked. I looked at him and laughed. "What, did I do something?"
"Yea nice guess. How bout you your like what 16?"
"No I'm uh 14," he said. "Do you wanna come over and hang out on the lake by my house?" he asked.
"Ya know I just met you you could murder me then throw me into the lake!" I said.
"Well then I guess you'll have to learn to trust me huh?" he said.

The lake looked amazing it didn't even look like a lake it looked like the ocean. It had sand shells waves everything it was even salt water.
"This is a lake?" I asked.
"Well kinda it connects do the ocean over there so all the waves and stuff come over here so its like my own little beach. Cool huh?" he said.
"Yea it really is actually."
"You wanna meet my mom?" he asked.
"Sure," I said.
His mom looked very beautiful she had hazel colored eyes and long light brown wavy hair like Finnick. She was really nice to always calling me sweetheart.
After that moment I would always come over and help her make dinner and hang out with them.

ME AND FINNICK ALWAYS WENT TO THE LAKE AFTER THAT AND I ALWAYS HELPED MAKE DINNER AFTER THE LAKE. HIS MOM WAS REALLY NICE ALWAYS CALLING ME SWEETHEART AND TREATED ME LIKE HER OWN. AFTER OUR LAKE TIME FINNICK NORMLY HAD TO GO AND HANG OUT WITH MOLLY. THEN HE WOULD COME HOME BEFORE DINNER LOOKING ALL KNOCKED UP. HE WOULD GIVE ME THAT FACE THAT HE DIDNT ENJOY HIMSLEF AS USUAL. AND I WOULD LAUGH.
When I got home one day my mom said "Where do you always go after school and then you come home and dont even eat?"
"I just go to the lake down there," I answered.
"With who cause I always see you walking with someone," she said.
"Oh that's Finnick,"I said.
"Odair!" she said raising her voice.
"Ya why are you yelling at me?" I asked.
"You are not gonna look walk talk or even think about that boy understood?"
"Why there's nothing wrong about me..." I started but she stopped me and started yelling.
"BECAUSE I SAID SO. THERE ARE ALOT OF THINGS YOU APPARENTLY DONT KNOW SO YOU'D BETTER LISTEN TO ME I DONT...."
"No I'm not gonna listen to you I don't care what you say he's not a bad guy," I said walking out the house.
I sat outside my house that night and went back in after my mom fell asleep cause I didn't wanna deal with her."
