"Hey Abia, it's time to go." Said Chrissy, her co-worker.
"Oh okay, let me just save this document." Abia's fingers quickly tapped the keys as she bit her lip.
Chrissy left the room, taking both of their time cards and clocking out. Abia grabbed her jacket, shut and locked her office door, then quickly rushed out in the hall.
"It's a little rainy out, you might want to grab that umbrella on our way out."
Abia zipped her jacket and grabbed the umbrella while holding the door for her friend, "thanks mom." She joked.
The wind blew as the thunder sounded and lightning struck.
"It's pouring out here!" Yelled Abia.
"Ya this would be a great time for us to have a car!" Chrissy responded.
The storm only grew worse as their walk increased.
"What are you gonna do when you get home tonight?" Asked Chrissy.
"I was planning on preparing food for thanksgiving, but by the looks of the weather, I don't know if I'll have power."
"That's my biggest concern."
The women walked a ways before night fell. Stepping over puddles and getting splashed by careless drivers in their cars. As they passed large buildings they stared down each alleyway.
"What's that?" Asked Abia.
"What's what B? You're scarin me."
"That sound."
"What sou-"
Abia interrupted, "sh sh, there it is again."
Abia followed the sound all the way into an alley.
"B what are you doin!?"
"Be quiet C!" Abia yelled.
She walked lowly into the alley.
"Aw its a little puppy," She said, "wanna come home with me little guy? I think I'll name you todo."
As she reached for the puppy he walked slowly down the alley, turning to see if Abia was following behind every few steps.
Abia followed.
"B it's just a puppy now come on!" Yelled Chrissy.
Abia ignored her and followed the puppy. She could see that he wouldn't be taking her very far because the alley was ended by a blue brick wall.
To her surprise the puppy turned left and went down a different alley.
"Huh?" She said to herself.
Abia looked down the alley before entering.
"B, I'll catch you later! My baby sitter just called me!" Chrissy yelled.
Abia didn't respond.
Once she took her first step into the dark and rainy alley a loud noise sounded. Abia turned to leave and ran into a brick wall.
"Hey!!" She yelled, "Let me out of here!!"
A bright light began to form. Abia turned to follow the puppy and noticed that she had entered what seemed to be a maze. Abia's red heels walked on the tiled ground, there were exotic plants growing out of the blue walls.
She slowly followed the puppy again before picking him up and walking around the maze.
"Hello!!?" She yelled, "What is this place?"
Abia found her way out of the maze and into a mystical land.
The plants were bright in color, the sky was dark, filled with colorful galaxies. The moon was huge, cream colored. The trees were tall, with white sparkling angel hair leaves. The bushes were soft like cotton candy but there was nobody in sight.
Abia turned around and the maze had disappeared, behind her was a large field with huge things of corn growing out of it. Perhaps it was a different type of maze.
Again, she wandered off into the maze.
Her long curly dark hair glistened from the light of the moon. She wore a dark blue dress that fell down to her knees and a dark brown trench coat.
As she walked through the maze she yelled, "Hello!?" To anybody who could possibly help her.
