Cindy Smothers was a first grade girl that loved being outside. One day after school her mother let her outside to play before dinner..... but Cindy didn't come back. Her mother didn't go lookig for her, it took 2 years to find out what had happened to Cindy.
While she was "missing" she was actually dead by a pond in the forest behind her house. She had got lost in the forest and wondered around untill she found the pond. The police assume that she died 3 weeks after she went missing and were taken a back by the fact that neither of her parents went looking for her.
