Chapter 1 - Cancer

Here I am sitting in the clinic. They're doing my monthly check up, I never guessed why they always wear anti-radioactive clothing when they're around me.

"Alright Elliot, lets strart our monthly check up" the Doctor said

I looked at the doctor. All I can see is his eyes. Blue, they're blue like the sea. I felt the needle pierce my arm. I let out a hiss.

"It hurts" I said

"Elliot, you've been doing this for 12 years. Haven't you got used to it?" The doctor asked

"How about you pierce yourself once a month with a needle that gets your bones?" I said in my head

"Alrighty, Its all done" The doctor said "Now elliot, I told you. Don't get excited or.....You know well what's gonna happen. Now go on, go see your mother"

"Thank you" after I said that I got up and went outside the clinic. I opened the sliding door and I saw the waiting area, I looked around and I heard someone call my name.

"Elliot!" My mom said

"Mom!" I said excitedly.

I hugged her. I hugged her like I haven't hugged her my whole life. I was so happy, but I felt my mom's hand shaking. I looked at her and her eyes rolled backwards and bubbles are coming out of her mouth.

I screamed "Help! Please somebody help us!" a nurse came to us and asked me what happened. I was so shocked I couldn't answer the question, I just said "I don't know" they got my mom in a hospital bed and they took her away.

I was there in the waiting room praying, hoping and wishing my mom was alright. I looked around. There were people in Black robes just looking at me. I didn't think much of it. Then I heard someone said "Is there an Elliot James here? Elliot James" I stood up and got near the nurse.

"What happened?" I asked. The nurse looked at me worried and said "Your mom is......dead. We found brain tumors in her head and her brain cells were multiplying rapidly. With that rapid multiplication of cells her brain was held tightly in the skull"

"We're really sorry Mr. James" The nurse said

My heart sank. All of my memories of mother came back to me and I just realized why I hadn't savor the moment I was with her. I just knelt down and buried my face in my palms. I was breathing heavily, I couldn't breathe.

My mind was thinking "What am I gonna do now?" I don't know any relatives I have left. And my dad is a mystery to me. All my mom mentioned about him is that he was a talented man who had a difficult but important job.

As soon as I caught my breath, I just walked away from the nurse and just wandered around the hospital. I had a weird feeling somebody was following me.

I saw a man in a Black Robe behind me. I looked forward and continued walking. Then I looked again, he was gone. I went out to the parking lot thinking there'll be a lot of people and a lot of cars. But as soon as I went outside, I was held by a whip that has a texture of human skin. I was filling up with adrenaline.

"Let me go!" I said. I saw a man with a black robe with his hands spread out like a whip and he had no legs. but the moment that I was getting closer, his legs were almost looking normal.

"Let"

"Me"

"GO!" the moment I said that his whip glowed and when the glow reached him, his legs looked normal.

"So you are the Doryuku Ataeru Conversal," He said with a deep voice

There was another man with a black robe who appeared and he put his right hand in the air and it vanished. His hands turned into powder, I accidentally inhaled the powder and fell asleep.
