The dinner gong rang as Lady Elizabeth's maids finished dressing Jessie. Jessie's hair was curled and she wore a satin dress with a slight poof in the skirt. She also wore an incredibly uncomfortable corset which squeezed her stomach in. On her feet were satin shoes. She walked into the dining room on the arm of Lady Elizabeth, who had also changed for dinner. Lady Elizabeth sat at the far end of the long table, Lord Jonathan sat opposite her, and Lord Sidney of Chiefington sat opposite Jessie, about half way down the table. He wore a bright red jacket and those fancy pants. On his feet were black buckled shoes and on his head he wore a wig, similar to Lord Jonathan's. Chief also had a beauty spot which was placed on one of his cheeks. Jessie giggled under her breath when she saw him. During dinner, Chief and Jessie had a conversation which consisted of mouthing things, and facial expressions. After dinner, Lady Elizabeth went up to her rooms to change and Lord Jonathan went to write a message out to one of his friends. Jessie and Chief were left in a drawing room to talk. As soon as they were sure that the two older nobles were out of earshot, Jessie burst out laughing and Chief rolled his eyes. "It's not funny!" He said, taking the wig from his head. "This is soooooo itchy!" He said, scratching his head, fluffing up his hair which was flat. Jessie walked over and took it from him. "It probably has fleas in it!" She said, putting it on the table. Chief stopped scratching and stared at her. "You're kidding?" He said. Jessie shook her head. "The gentlemen of Georgian Britain didn't have the best hygienic habits." She said. Chief rolled his eyes. "Great!" Jessie giggled. "Though I must say... most guys I know would look totally ridiculous in that get up... but you... don't!" She said. Chief laughed. "I don't?!" He asked. "Well, I doubt I'll be wearing this back home!" He said. Jessie smiled. "Well, this corset is REALLY tight! I can hardly breathe!" She said, rubbing her tummy. "I'd ask you to loosen it but that is simply not lady-like!" Chief laughed. "Shall I get a maid?" He asked. Jessie shook her head. "I'm ok... I can manage!" She said, wobbling as she stood up. She almost fell when Chief grabbed her and pulled her up. "Are you sure you're ok?" He asked. Jessie nodded. "I think so!" She said. Chief led her to a chair and sat her down, and then he pulled a stool up and sat next to her on it. Jessie stared into the fire. "What are you thinking?" Chief asked, watching her. "I miss home..." Jessie said, looking at him. Chief nodded. "I understand." Jessie sat forwards. "I don't know what I'd have done if you hadn't come after me!" She said. Chief took her hand. "That's exactly why I came!" He said. Jessie smiled at him. "Should we call Cade?" She asked. Chief nodded. "She might be able to bring us forwards a bit!" He said. Jessie nodded. "We shall leave a note for Lord Jonathan and Lady Elizabeth, thanking them for their kindness." She said, taking a quill pen and writing out a short thank you note. Then they called Cade and they zoomed forwards a couple of years.
