☹☹☹

after i met the girl we talked for a while,

but then she checked her watch, and she apologized to me

then ran off.

i didn't even get her name, nor did she get mine

i sat in a little cafe, a cup of tea on the table.

my notebook was on the table as well,

the cafe provided a shelf of short books,

and i was reading one of them.

it was called 'of mice and men'

and i found it quite interesting

"of mice and men," a girl spoke.

i looked up from my book and saw the girl sit across from me.

"i forgot to properly introduce myself the other day," she smiled,

"hi, i'm ellie." she said,

"michael," i nodded,

"i like your hair," she giggled,

a small smile appeared on my face,

"i like yours," i grinned, as she twirled a strand of her own pastel hair.

i raked my fingers through my own hair, hers was pastel mine was dark.

"you like pastel colours, don't you?" i asked,

she nodded, "i dye my hair a lot,"

"so do i," i grinned.

she reached over and grabbed my notebook.

"what's in this?" she asked, a small smile on her face,

i reached over, and grabbed it back from her.

"hey, i wanted to see it." she pouted.

"not until i see yours."
