Bucky
An explosion went off just a few blocks from where they were standing. The guy did not flinch when he saw and heard the screams of so many people panicking, unlike his female friend.
"I'm going in," I say without hesitation.
"No", Rooka yelled to be heard over the loud noise, "Bucky, you could get hurt or worse die!"
"Don't worry I'll be fine". I star at her knowing she wouldn't try and stop me from saving people.
After a few moments of hesitation she nodded for me to go. Oh, I do hope he won't do anything stupid or dangerous, she looked around deciding to help get as many people to safety.
-----------------
The flooring behind him fell, crashing into the one below. Luckily that one remand whole. I managed to work my way to the sixth floor then I found two men, which looked like father and son.
"Look out", I yelled as I jumped and grabbed them both, pulling them away just as the flooring gave way.
"Thank you", gasped the father, going to into a coughing fit due to the smoke.
"Yes, thank you", echoed the son.
"Come on, we need to get out of here before the hull thing comes down on us", gasped I because of the lack of air.
We managed to go down two stories, when we came to a place were half the flooring was missing. As we try and think of a different rout the whole building began shaking.
"Oh, on, it's too late to get out", moaned the father, "this place is becoming less and less stable as more floors gave way".
"Maybe we can go down another way", said the son, but as he turned to around the flooring broke leaving big cracks and pieces falling down.
"We have to jump", I commanded, "It's the only way we can get out alive and in one piece. Jump, know!"
I jump at the same time as the son jumps, the father hesitated before jumping after them. That hesitation cost him dearly though, because the front bit of the ledge the we were standing on fell off when he landed on it.
"No", sobbed the young man.
"I know it's hard, but we need to keep moving, do you understand"?
"Yes" he mumbled.
------------------
"Keep running!" I yell as the other man was slowing down due to the lack of oxygen.
We could see the exit right in front of them, but the building was coming apart. We could also hear the floors above crashing into ones below till they gave way to the weight.
"We're not going to make it" shouted the man.
"Yes we are", I shout back.
We made it out, but we could hear and feel the parts of the building hitting the ground.
"Look out!" yelled the man. Instantly something heavy hit me pinning me to the ground.
He tried to help me get it off but it would not budge. "Go get help; you can't lift this by yourself"!
"I'll be back as soon as I can", he promised.
"OK, go!" I struggle to see how big the piece is "Well I guess it's a good thing that the heaviest part is mostly landed on m my metal arm. Rooka is not going to be happy about me getting hurt after I said I would be ok." It seemed like hours but it was only thirty minutes before help came. To my amazement she seemed happier about me being alive then about getting hurt.
"Oh, Bucky what happened?" asked Rooka.
"I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I do know I'm better now with that thing off of me."
"I bet you are, with that heavy thing off your arm know," she says with a smile just happy he's still alive.
Three days later.
"What have you been thinking over the pass couple of days?" Rooka asked.
"Well, I've been trying to think of what might cussed that explosion," I answer with a sigh.
"So have you come up with anything at all"?
"No, when I think I get it, something comes up that makes me think that couldn't be that person", I sigh again.
"Well I best be going home," she grabs her stuff, "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Ok, be safe and if you need anything call me," I watch her leave.
"Ok, bye," she said as she closed the door be hide her and made her way home.
