A village sat in a valley surrounded by mountains which held elaborate cave systems. The village was an odd one due to the fact that all the residents had brown locks. In the medical hut, an attractive woman cried out in pain, gripping an older woman's hand. A nurse stood at the end of the bed, encouraging the lady. Soon a healthy baby boy was born. The woman smiled happily as she held him. "If only your father was here... He would've loved to see you." The baby started to cry and his mother fed him.

After a month, the child's hair started to show its bright orange color. His mother had received a few insults because of his hair, since anyone who didn't have brown hair wasn't welcomed in the village due to a tradition that persisted from its founding. The mother shrugged off the insults, saying his hair will darken in time to brown. His hair remained a bright orange much to her growing annoyance

After six months of insults and being ridiculed, the mother couldn't take much more. She left with the young baby boy and walked into the forest, planning to abandon him there. As they walked, her son started crying as he was carried. She had an annoyed expression at his crying, "Will you just shut up!" She snapped at the child. She set him down by a bush of dark blue berries. "Why couldn't you have had brown hair like the rest of us! It's all because of your father!" She glared at her child and stormed off.

Several hours had passed and the woman had not returned and the child remained by the bush. He looked at the berries, his amber eyes red from crying so much. He reached out to take some when he was startled by movement in the trees and bushes. He started to cry again, scared and without the woman. Soon a large bright orange dragon standing close to 125 feet at the shoulder stepped into view and he calmed slightly, feeling calmed by the giant lizard. The dragon looked confused at the child and lowered his head down "Svabol persvek Zarcanth? Kii ornla vi vrak qe zulf ini vi nhee marfedelom bush?" The baby sniffled and put his hand on the dragon's snout, causing it to smile. Something about the helpless child warmed his heart. The innocence in his eyes remained despite the cruel start to his life. It gently picked up the baby and put him on its back "Wux re vin halkiva vrak. wux tir ti ulnot sva ve hefoc lyrik vraktor. si nishka clax doege di wux halkvri wux ehtah vi proper sargt" the baby smiled and giggled, as the dragon smiled and walked off with the child, back to its cave with its wings folded over him to protect him.

The dragon climbed up into its cave and set the child on the cold rock. The child started to cry as his stomach growled. It pet the crying baby with its tail and took off, leaving to find some milk for him. The great dragon soon returned, a few goats in claw. It set most of the goats down while it held one above the child. The baby boy started to suckle on the goat's teat, drinking its milk. When he was full, the dragon set the goat down and glowing orange arcana appeared as it took human form. Its form was that of a well muscled, handsome man with bright orange locks and golden eyes. He picked up the child and burped him. He cleared his throat "Let's see. If you are to live with me, I shall have to name you. You look like a Lukas so that shall be your name." Lukas looked up at the dragon's human form and smiled as the dragon chuckled "My name is Bosim, young one" Bosim smiled and walked deeper into the cave system with his adopted child
