I'm Fading

"Mom ! Were did I go ?" Tessa asked ."We are not doing this today ! Get your butt down here right now ! " Tessa's mom , Jasmine , replied . Tessa walked down the steps disappointed . " Tessa ! I said get down here ! " Tessa looked at her mom . "Mom I'm right here ."She said scared . " No you're not . Tessa this isn't funny !" She looked again . " Mom ! I'm fading ! "She yelled .
~Journal Page 1~ I wasn't always like this . Why am I fading now ? The accident happened 3 years ago . It was 3 years ago when Tessa's dog died . It was a warm sunny day . The scalding heat nearly melted the two . Tessa was taking her dog , Samuel , out for a walk . Tessa & Samuel were getting out of the public pool when it started to rain . Tessa decided that just because it was raining didn't mean that they had to go back home yet . Tessa was walking across the streets when ... BAM ! A car had hit them . Tessa only broke an arm but Samuel didn't make it . I don't get it . Why now ? Why ? Wait a second ! Today is that very day 3 years ago ! It's 11/29/16 now !

Tessa cried . Knowing that it was the day of her dog's death opened the healed wound in her heart . It didn't help that she had a different colored eye to remember it . Remembering this tragic day and experience opened the void of losing her best friend . Her eye color was changed because of the shock and terror she and her dog faced . She was devastated . Her arm had taken 1/2
years to heal . Even now she can barley use her right arm . She's been fading ever since . But because her heart never fully there is nothing she can do about it . "Mom! I have to go to school today , its the school dance ." She whined . "Tessa they won't even know you're there . You are staying home today ."
Tessa remembered when she got up crying from the street . Her dog took most of the damage by saving her . She remembered the second her eyes changed color .

She had became color blind that day .Her mom has not let her do that much ever since .
