There lived a boy in a cave down the mountain side and following the river. This boy was named Ashton and he was sentenced to live alone by his parents because he was different. He had a condition that involved his ears being pointy like an elf and a smile like the cheseire cat. This scared most people so his parents disowned him. But one day there was a hiker that had cat like features that he decided to hide. This hikers name was Connor. It started to rain so he needed shelter when he came across the cave Ashton lived in. Ashton was in a complete deep sleep when Connor entered the cave. When Connor entered the cave he saw Ashton and stared at him in a cat like manor not knowing if he should be afraid or intreged.

This was such a conundrum for Connor. Ashton stretched while opening his eyes to see what it look like outside that day but instead of that he saw a figure. That made him jump to his feet immediately. "Stay back. Who are you and what are you doing in my cave?" Connor was confused but answered honestly. "Im just getting out of the rain. What are you doing here and your cave?" He didn't realize that this boy was not your normal average person but he just went to ask more questions on who he was. Finally Connor got tired of that question and he responded with " My names Connor and if you wouldn't mind can you tell me your name." " Im Ashton and why aren't you afraid of me."

"How do you know im not afraid of you." "When people normally come by me they have a emotion that you can sence." Connor didn't understand why this was a problem for him. "Well may I sit and wait for the rain to go down Ashton." Ashton nodded. He didn't know why but Connor had a vibe that made him feel calm. After 16 minutes passed they started to ask each other questions. They got so lost in talking that they didn't notice that the rain had stopped hours ago. "Well I should probably get going Nice meeting you." "Wait!" He grabbed the other boys arm. "Yes?" He said with a chuckle. "Am I ever gonna see you again." The boy smiled "I will try to come hiking everyday since I live close by and it would be nice to just hangout with someone I can talk to other than my friends who are on vacation everyday of there life." The amount of times people had come to look at the cave he had never talk to anyone this long. He let go of the boys arm and said "see you tomorrow Connor" with a big smile. Connor then started to head back home.

*next three months *
Connor had walked up to the mountains again and headed down to the cave. He had been going everyday but just couldn't do it when school started. He had to tell Ashton about it and create a plan so they could still see each other and talk to each other. Ashton heard his foot steps and got all excited to see his friend again. "Hello ash how you doing." "Im doing good you?" "Good I need to tell you something that could change depending on how long it takes me to walk up here after doing homework but I don't think I can see you everyday when school starts." When Ashton heard this his face had converted to sadness. "That means I can only see you on Saturday and Sundays." Connor didn't want to make him cry so he told him he could see him on half days and no school days if his parents don't drag him out to the mall. Ashton just couldn't take only seeing his friend two times a week it was unbearable.
