This is a book where I will keep my poems. Whether they be good or bad. I'm doing this to get feedback on my poems, so feel free to leave a comment. Now onto my first poem.

Dear me
This
Is you
Me
Get up
Know that the present is only for a little bit
So any pain you may feel will be in the past almost immediately
The past
Is something that happened not to you now
It happened to you then
Focus in the now
Focus in the present
Focusing on the past
May possibly bring unwanted pain
So focus on the now
And miss nothing in the process
Breath
Be silent
Hear you heart beating
Hear yourself breathing
Know that you are ok
Know that as of now your ok and alive
Even if you don't believe it
Know that if you were dead you would feel none of this
Know that if someone says "You are dead"
They are bluffing
You are living
Make the most of it
Live in the present
The now
Make it the best time you had
Whether you are studying or partying
Make the most of it
Live
Have fun
Never stop having fun
Do not keep yourself from having fun
Go to a party
Dance
Listen to music
Go out with a friend
Have the time of your life
For you have
One life
So make it fun
Make it joyous
For you only have
This one chance
That one chance
Has no reset button
It has no upgrades or renewals
To make its stay at your house longer
You must treat it with kindness
Make that chance healthy and strong
And it will reward you
By making you healthy and strong in return
Treat it as if it were your beloved pet
You have had it for four years
It is nearing its end
So you must treat it with kindness and love
Making sure it is healthy to hopefully add a year to its life
Treat your chance as you would the pet
You are only allowed one
Dont waste it
Have fun with it
Do what you enjoy
Whether it be music or it be dance
It can be what expresses you most
During it you will be judged
For good looks or bad looks
For good things or bad things
For your taste in music or your taste in books
But dont worry
What they say won't affect how you live
You will do as you want and have fun as you want
So make that chance
That one special chance
