SADI'S POV:

I woke to a strange and quirky Michael Clifford and Calum Hood jumping on my bed on top of me.

"WE'RE HUNGRY!!" Shouted Michael.

"Will you PWEEEEZZZEEE get up and make us, Ash, and Luke breakfast?" Calum asked rather calmly, but out of breath from jumping on the bed. I quickly grabbed a pillow and slapped Michael with it. He fell to the ground quickly. I panted as Calum stopped jumping and shouting.

This is my life. I live with all the members of 5 Seconds of Summer. Luke being my brother. And Calum Michael and Ashton are probably the closest thing I have to family- other than Luke obviously. My parents left about two weeks ago, but Luke and I haven't heard anything from them so the rest of the boys have basically moved in with us for the time being.

I had finally gotten up out of bed and gone downstairs to see Luke sitting on the couch watching a T.V. show. I wouldn't be able to tell you the name.

"Hey, Sadi," he says to me bringing up the right corner of his lip. "Did they wake you?" he asks, obviously knowing they did and he had something to do with it.

I shoot him a look and walked through his vision with the T.V. and into the kitchen. there I saw Ash sitting at the table on his phone making a Keek.

"Hi Keek friends!!" I shout getting into the camera view. "And that's Sadi, The Hemmings sister," He says to the camera. "Have you finally gotten up to make breakfast?" he asks, the camera still on.

"Dude, it's only nine." I stand there like it was okay that I had slept in at least for an hour.

Usually, the boys are waking me up around eight, but today they thought I deserved a bit more for my hard work keeping the house clean from these four boys and making them three meals a day. I say completely sarcastically, although I do admit, I sound like a mother.

I guess I could take the open space.

I get into the cupboard to find pancake mix, I get the milk. I start to make pancakes and bacon. I see Luke and Cal walk into the kitchen in the corner of my eye.

"Where's Mike?" I ask.

"He went to the post office to get the mail," Ash says. We all look at him, all probably wondering how he knew because he never came into the kitchen. "He sent me a text." he says holding up his phone. we all finally understand.

Luke walks over to me and hugs me.

This is weird. Luke never hugs me. I mean, I know he loves me, but he doesn't usually hug me.

"Umm...," the boys seem to notice this, an start to do facial expressions of my untold emotion. "Can I help you?" I ask him.

He lifts his head off my shoulder where it had been resting from behind me.

"What? Can't I hug my sister. The only family with me?" He says, our blue eyes looking into each other's. I slightly smile, as does he. "Thanks for making breakfast, Said." He then kisses my cheek, his arms leaving my body.

I resume and flip the pancake over.

-

I'm done with the pancakes and bacon by the time Michael gets back from the post office.

Everyone is sitting either at the table or on the couch watching T.V. Luke went upstairs to read some of the

mail. I'm sitting on the couch next to Ashton eating and watching Disney movies.

We all hear a door slam open, and Luke comes running downstairs holding a piece of paper in his hands. He's panting when he faces me and his mouth is open like he doesn't know what's happening. He covers his mouth with his hand not holding the piece of paper.

"Luke," I say, "what is it?" I ask him.

He just holds the letter in my direction.

"Just read it." He takes my place in the couch when I stand up. He leans over and starts to cry.

I look down at the letter.

It reads:

Dear Luke and Mercedes, -I hated when they called me by my real name-

This is your parents. We are writing this letter to inform you that we will not be coming home. You two are a suitable age to start taking care of yourselves, and we think you're ready to go out into the world on your own. We have heard that Michael, Ashton, and Calum have basically moved in with you and Luke. Let them know that they are free to live there, and that we'll still be paying for the house's finances.

Love, Mom and Dad.

"This is absolute bull shit!" I shout. everyone looks at me with a strange. They knew I cursed, but only once in a blue moon. And tonight, the blue moon is going to last forever.

"Sadi, calm down." Calum said putting his arm around my shoulder as to comfort me. I shove him off and shout, "No!

"This is Bull shit! They can't just leave us!" I tell them, throwing the letter to the ground. Ashton picks it up while Calum and Michael crowd on each of his sides, all reading the letter.

I sit next to Luke, tears flowing from my eyes.

"How do your parents just do this?" Calum asked. "They just send a letter to their children after never having any contact with them for the past couple weeks, saying that they're leaving for good and that their 17 and 16 year old are ready to go into the world as adults? That is bull shit." He concluded.

As I sit there next to Luke, Michael sits next to me, Calum next to Luke, and Ashton standing up still holding the letter, pacing back and forth.

"Well," Michael says breaking the silence. Ash stops pacing and we all look at Michael. "At least they have the decency to pay for the rent and finances."

"Shut up." Luke says slapping the back of his head.

Michael mutters an "ow" before staying silent again.

So this is life now... Ever since this day, my life has never been the same. I live my life hating my parents. Luke on the other hand hates to talk about them.

Life is crazy.

Life is horrible.

But someday, I know we'll just get over it. Then someday we'll realize that we were just Left Behind.
