Lafayette POV

I got off the phone with my cousin, who seemed excited that I am visiting him in our childhood home for a couple months. I knock on Alex's bedroom door and only heard a muffled 'yes' in response. I opened it to find 'mon petite lion' curled up in his swivel chair with his laptop on his desk. I came up behind him to see he was watching an old video of Laurens and him kissing under the mistletoe, he sniffed. "I miss him," he mumbled, wiping his tears, "I really really miss him." I swirled his chair to face me and hugged him, "mon petite lion, I miss him too, but you have to listen to me when I say you have to move on sometimes." He cried in my shoulder and nodded in understanding, "hey I have news for you mon ami," I smiled a little as I faced him, "we are going to Paris to see mon little cousin, well he's not little but you get the point." Alex looked at me, "when are we leaving and for how long?" He asked, sniffing a bit. I stood up from my kneeling position and pulled him up with me, "we're leaving in two days and we'll be there for a couple months so pack as much as you can but we'll go clothes shopping with my cousin after we get there so don't bring too much." He seemed to bite on his lip a bit and started rushing around to pack.

Alex POV

We got on the flight and looked at the people around me who I'm going to be spending that duration of flight with, "too many," I breathed to myself, Hercules looked at me, "It's gonna be okay, just watch Moana."

I was in the middle of watching 'The Princess Bride' when I felt the rumble of the plane as it landed. I sighed and turned off the movie.

Laf, Herc, and I scurried out the plane, we got our stuff as Laf got our rental car. I shivered a bit as I walked out of the warm airport, I heard a honk and someone screaming curse words, just like New York, I thought.

Laf drove us to a small cafe in the heart of a street that was littered with boutiques and small shops. We settled down and ordered coffee. There were a few people in the small shop, a young couple caught my attention though. The girl had a milk chocolate complexion with bouncing dark curls, she was talking to a man who was a bit stocky and looked a bit like Herc. What caught my attention was that they were speaking in plain English and they seemed to be eyeing our table.

I soon recognised the couple, "ANGELICA!!" I screamed and jumped over to hug her, "I missed you I missed you I missed you I missed you," I said as she laughed, "okay okay enough Alex I don't want you sobbing in my new blouse." I couldn't help but smile at her as I got off her. Herc smiled and said hi to Madison who seemed left out and Laf started chatting up a storm with them.

We finished our coffee and waved goodbye to Mads and Angelica. We walked into a small shop that had a variety of clothes, we spent hours in there and found a lot of different things. We put our bags in the car and Laf started driving us to his cousin's place. Maybe this trip won't be that bad after all, I thought as the car pulled up in a large driveway. I gawked at the large house that's said to be Laf's childhood home. The moon shone at the grass to make it a dusty blue as we took our bags out of the trunk. I walked down the front yard and to the front porch which was gorgeous and spacious. Laf unlocked the door which I was surprised to see that he still has the key after so long. The inside was as spacious as the outside and was only lit by a small table lamp which somehow made Laf smile, "he's asleep so be quiet, I'll show you to your rooms so you can unpack."

I climbed the stairs and Laf led me to a large room. I took off my coat and changed into my pajamas. I shuffled into the large bed and slipped under the covers. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

--Time Skip to in the Morning--

I felt warmth surround me as I woke up. The natural light shone through the window showing how large the room was. A warm arm tightened around my waist, pulling me closer to a warm body. I giggled still half asleep, "stooooop Laurens you know I have t-" I stopped talking mid sentence as I became a bit more awake. The person shifted a bit and rested their head on my shoulder, I recognized the unruly hair and turned a bit to see I was correct. Suddenly the room got smaller as I realized I was spooning my worst enemy, Jefferson.
