Isobel sighed, folding the parchment and slipping it back into its envelope. She glanced over at her trunk that was still only half full, her clothes strewn across her bed in complete chaos.
"Isobel?" Narcissa Malfoy stood in the doorway of her room, immaculately dressed in emerald green robes. "Darling, why haven't you finished packing?"
"Mother, I'm sixteen years old and attending Hogwarts instead of returning to Beaux batons. I'll be a social outcast the moment Professor McGonagall announces my name. No one at Hogwarts knows who I am." Isobel exclaimed, running her slim fingers through her stunning raven black and platinum blonde hair.
"Isobel, you are a Malfoy and a Black. You are my daughter. No matter what others say or think about you. It shouldn't matter what others think. Only how you see yourself should matter. Remember that, my darling." Narcissa replied as she began to twist and pin Isobel's calf-length hair up.
"Thank you, Mother." she said softly, her fingers brushing the emerald and silver family ring resting on her right ring finger.
"Now shall we finish packing for tomorrow, my dear?" Narcissa asked, stepping back and sitting gingerly on her daughter's bed.
"Of course mother." Isobel smiled, flicking her black oak dragon heartstring wand to neatly fold her expensive designer clothes, her brand new school robes and neatly packing them inside her trunk.
"About bloody time, Izo." Draco's voice sounded from her bedroom door. Isobel turned to look at her twin brother. Draco was leaning casually against the thick mahogany door, his platinum blonde hair falling into his striking grey eyes. Isobel's silver grey eyes met his as she swung her cloak over her shoulders and clasping the dragon shaped clip together.
"Oh I apologize big brother. My concerns should never take first when it comes to you." She sneered, slipping a pair of strapless platform heels on.
"Please dear sister, I believe your concerns do matter. Just not when we have to be at Kings Crossing in an hour." he replied, his own thin lips forming into an identical sneer.
"Whatever you say, brother. Mother, shall we go?" Isobel glanced at their mother, who had stood up at her question.
"Of course, dear. Darling we shall meet you and your father at King's Cross." Narcissa told him, placing her hand on Isobel's trunk as Isobel took her hand. The two Malfoy women turned on the spot and apparated to the popular London train station.
Isobel smiled as a young man took her trunk and her owl, Viseria, and placed them on a trolley. Isobel and Narcissa made their way towards platform nine and three quarters. The sounds of the other Hogwarts students bustling about the platform brought a warm and welcome to Isobel's heart. Children were running around to bid farewell to their siblings. Isobel smiled as she spied her fathers striking ivory blond hair above the heads of a group of students.
"Father!" She called as she and her mother caught up to him. From the corner of her eye, she noticed a boy with messy black hair, shocking green eyes shielded behind a pair of circular glasses and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead staring at her with disbelief.
