Sadness, that was all she would say if she had to describe it. She had to leave her best friend behind, forever. She was a maiden to be wed on the early dawn of an early spring, it was custom for her entire bloodline. She was was the daughter of the king and her "loving husband" was pre-picked, she begged her father to let her pick a husband but he refused.

No! He boomed, if i do then you would pick the damn dragon! I cannot have anarchy in the kingdom! A bit of worriedness strained through the air, she turned around with a sloppy bow before running out to the corridors. "Shall we fetch the maiden?" A Jester sickeningly sang. No. He sighed, let her be. Let her have the last moments with the dragon. He sat up from the throne before whisking away into his personal chamber.

Tear streamed down her face before her metal shoes clacked to the stone floor that surrounded the Dungeon, her breath heaved before pulling the metal lock to the thick Iron doors. They groaned with heaviness before giving-way to open the entry. Im sorry. She breathed in hesitantly before she pulled on the doors to close behind her.

The sound of chains rattled through the carved out cave before the echo of breathing came closer.

Callum? A rough yet chiseled voice softy spoke out. Why have you come? You know they are coming, this mean you just came for me. So tell me, Why. A huff of air blew her hair back with strands being clumped from tears, worriedness covered his eyes at the sight. Why must you cry? he huffed. It is not your fault i must go. It was fate that led me here-

No! She yelled before wrapping her arms around his neck before the small choked sobs quietly stopped. I wont let them. She growled. I will fight them t'ill my last breath, even it mean i must be banished.

Callum. He softly spoke. You have a full life ahead, just promise me you will live a happy one for me. She nodded slightly before backing up to meet his scaled face, a wound was slashed down his eye to his chin. why did you do it? she quietly spoke. Why did you try to kill Owen?

He lifted himself off the ground with the chains rattling in protest. Because. He spoke. The man does not care for your love, just the throne. I smelt the evil right off him, i could not stand to hear a bastard of a man was to be high king. So, i broke out and tried to get rid of him.

Why. She repeated. But why try to kill him when you could scare him. Why try to kill a man that did no wrong yet!? Many call it idiotsy to yell at a dragon, he called it bravery.

Because. He said while lowering his head to her eyes. Men who kill without reason, cannot be reasoned with. He has killed dragons for pelts, affairs with other maidens and tried to behead me when bowed to him at first meet! I gave the man a chance, for me he is a dead man! He roared with anger before slamming his claws to the stone ground.

Callum? A sickened sweet voice echoed into the dungeon. I heard yelling, did you visit that awful dragon again? I warned you not to~. a Boldly young man strolled into the room with knights protecting his sides. His wear was horrific to say the least. A growl flowed into the air before a soft hush came too.

Owen. She cautiously spoke. I cant marry you, im sorry. He scoffed before drawing his sword, the smell of dragon marrow rang from it. Why is that? He sweetly said. Was it the dragon that made you say that? Dragon why would you say such a thing? That sort of treachery would get you killed~. He swings his sword in a circle before running it into his scabbard.

Is that a challenge, boy? He hissed. What do you think, dragon? He sneered before turning around. Come boys, we have a wedding to plan.

Something snapped, not a maddening snap. More of a anger snap. For this point, he had enough. The chains rattles with a roar that bellowed out the dungeon, the intense heat radiated from a fanged grin.

Run, boy.

A sudden glow built up in the room, at this point Owen was running out the doors and into the main Meal room. His panicked face look at the king who was enjoying his Dinner. Screams ranged out the iron doors before blankets of flame shot out into the room, it covered the other end of the wall before peasants rushed over to douse the flame. The kings was not amused. What is the meaning of this!? He yelled before standing up. D-dragon. He squeaked, he whipped his head to the iron doors to the sounds of clanking and growls.

COME HERE, BOY.

He screamed before running to the main exit, his shoes tapped against the marble before a loud crashing sound trailed behind, he looked back to see flaming blue eyes looking at him before a large lizard was deeming him as a target. He was getting closer.

Gyros no! Comeback!

Trailed behind further then him, it was the kings daughter trying to stop the thousand pound fire lizard from eating the almost-wed. She ran behind pulling on Gyros's tail while her feet dragged against the marble, a hand grabbed her waist to yank her grasp from his tail. The roars was getting weak with cracked footprints trailing behind.

What happened!? Yelling the king in disbelief. She narrowed her eyes at him. Never back-talk a dragon unless they can back up the words. She yanked herself away from him before following the mayhem. I need to stop a dragon from tearing apart a bastard.
