Chapter one: Calm

Im a girl with her only friend by her side all the time. I don't need much. I always have headphones in with one station I listen to over and over. I never really pay attention in class but when I do I'm on top of it. Beck is my name.
My friend is something else. She's more social then I am. She's more active and positive. She's my best friend.
Evalen is her name
We almost couldn't make it without each other, until one day something changed. Geo happened. Geo had asked out Evalen, Geo hangs out with 6th graders and Evalen decided to join him one Morning.

I was freaking out. She knows what happens when she's not there to calm me. "so this is a thing now!?" I yelled at her as she held Geo's hand "um yes.." she hesitated. I pulled her away from Geo "come on man" he said as I ripped his new found love away from him "you could've atleast told me about this before you decided to ditch me" "yea yea I'm sorry" she says sarcastically "you know what happens when you're not there to calm me" she looked regretful. "I'm so sorry. Did you....You know....wolf out?" "almost. Until I saw you with Geo, then I ran over here" "I think I'll be over here from now on" she covered her eye with her curls. "fine. But don't blame me when I wolf out asshole!" "Shit!" she gasped and grabbed sun glasses out of my bag "put these on quick!" I put them on without questions "how noticeable are they?" "very" she said looking around making sure no one saw what happened. Geo walks up to us questioning what's going on between us. "why are you wearing sunglasses? There's like no sun."   "Because I'm just cool like that. K?" which I wasn't really completely lying. The coach blows the whistle and yells "boys on left girls on right" they did that for the 6th graders. Evalen and Geo walk off and I high five Evalen before she leaves. I'm Alone now.

The nerds go in first on the 7th grade side. Then some averages and poplars. Losers go in last. I go in between the losers and populars and wait downstairs by the stair case as Johnson goes up the stairs and I follow him and Randy walks by me to go into art class. I have my headphones in rebel rebel is playing full blast. Class starts at 9:00 I'm downstairs by 8:57 by the time I go up it's 8:58 and I get a drink of water by the time I get to class I have two minutes to sit and get my stuff ready.

When the bell rings there's a new kid. He's wearing sneakers and shorts that I'm assuming are for soccer and fuzzy mucky green colored jacket zipped all the way I couldn't see his shirt. He was about 5'5 which is three half inches taller then me his hair is cut short too. He's cute, I'll admit it I couldn't take my eyes off him. He looked at me few times, that's when I looked away. "Way to make it obvious" I whisper to myself clutching my book bag. hoping no one or noticed. He only had a gym bag on. "Guys we have a new student today. His name is Preston Sanchez all the way from gardener. Preston please tell us about where you've came from." He looked embarrassed "well...." his voice is deep but not so deep at the same time. It's like a harmony. "There's not much to say about where I'm from. Just woods and wilderness." He chuckles "well if that's it, why don't you take a seat next tooooooo Beck" my eyes widen and I picked my head up in surprise when he says my name. My book bag is in the chair next to me as Preston walks over I try not to look at him as I remove my book bag from the chair he soon reseats in. I cover my face with my bangs trying ever so hardly not to stare....I can't help it. Every time I glanced at him he immediately looked at me, like he was keeping an eye on me...but he had a strange smell like bad for me ..

God this sucks really bad but I'm trying to make it better. And the book is based off of dreams I have and some stuff from real life but yea I hope y'all enjoy the next chapter as much as you try to enjoy this one ☺️❣️
