After a year or two, I have finally returned to the world of Wattpad with bigger improvements as my work below shows. I swear I cringe so hard looking at my old Fanfics but I promise that this story will be unlike any before.
Hope you stick till the end.
It felt like violin chords; the saturated sun, my heart beating rhythmically yet unstable at the same time and the susurration of buckwheat flowers before the first snow fall. It could've been a sweet melody protruding from every corner of this gigantic universe and melding into my tiny universe. Every oscillation it brought forth with it, tickled my brain and rushed down my veins to make a home for itself... Right above my heart.
But then again, it wasn't really music. It was something more immense and rather than gentle knocks, it pounded on the door of my mind. And in its pounding I saw comfort and affection like i had never seen before. Comfort and love were two foreign concepts to a brain like mine. So, only when the unfamiliar feeling gushed in and painted every wall inside my brain to a lively color, did i realize what had happened. The disease of love had plagued me and it would devour me alive. But such a feeling could not be a disease. The notorious love had indeed started it's work before I could even blink an eye. It had started to change my mind and my heart. Such was the sorcery the wise men warned us about and such was the disease that had no cure. It was a feeling that grew with a thud, then a thud and then a thud. And it's growth knew no end.
The girl that walked towards me from the opposite end of this earth, stood brighter than a thousand suns combined. Her light was not blinding, though. It was a radiance that brought forth a shiver in my spine and a glisten in my eyes.
It felt like the big bang theory in reverse. Instead of a giant explosion that formed the universe, the girl took away the universe and became a child of the cosmos.
And when she smiled... the whole world stopped turning. The first drop of rain ceased its fall and the susurration of the flowers stopped too.
With a thump and thump and thump the girl closed the distance between us. The air around us lightened and everything was a daze until she stood, shining, before me.
Innocent as a gazelle, she extended a hand towards me.
In her hand was a small buckwheat flower... She smiled again. And such was the moment I knew.
Before I fell in love
with words
with setting skies
and singing birds
it was her
I fell in love with first.
