chapter one

(Sams POV)
My friends and I walk into the party laughing apart from me...
"Why cant I just injoy party's?" I look down at the floor thinking.
"Hey Sam you thinking about how you don't wanna be here again" my friend Catlin gestures
"Pfffft no I can't wait to get in here" I lie
"Don't lie we can all tell when you do Sam" she raises her voice
"Yeah" the rest of them agrees
" why can't you just enjoy having an awesome life with us" Catlin exclaims rudely.
"Damn no need to be so salty" I speak under my breath
He flicks her bight blonde hair in my face.
"Sorry I need some air" I mumble
"What do you mean we just got here, and we're outside" Catlin yells over the music.
I shrug and walk off to the bathroom wherever that is.

As I'm walking I see a cute boy sitting by himself in a corner of the room.
I slowly approach the boy and ask"do you know where the bathroom is?"
"No" he says faintly.
"Oh, okay" I mumble
I start to walk away until he says.
"Hey please dont go I have no one to be here with."
"How'd you get here then?" I ask
"My stupid brother thought it would be a good idea to come and make 'friends' "*he quotes with his fingers*
" oh" I slowly walk to him and sit down on the floor next to the boy.
"I'm so sorry" I hear "I didnt even introduce myself, hi I'm chase"
"Hi chase I'm Samantha but please call me sam" I reply.
We shake hands.
"Why would such a person like you be by yourself?" I ask
"Such a person" he asks confused
"I mean, uh, um, you're kinda, cu-cute" I stutter.
"Oh, um, well thanks, you, are um, too" he whispers
"Thanks" I answer awkwardly.
It goes silent for five minutes or so until he asks
" so um, what kind of subjects do you like, um, doing"
"Mainly science, what about you?"
"Oh cool, I like history, its fascinating"
"Ew how" I let out a little giggle
"I'm not sure its what I like to do I guess" he gives a shy smile.

-we talk and talk for the next one hour and a half, until Catlin comes up to us with all her mascara smudged and her face puffy-
"Samantha let's go I'm fucking sick of this place" Catlin Cry's
"But w-" she cuts me off with
" sam this is not the fucking time and place okay I'm sick of your attitude, now let's go"
I give a slight look at chase.
"Just go..." he whispers
"I'm so sorry"
"Wait, hold up, here's my number"
He scribbles on a piece of paper and passes it to me.
I mouth "thankyou" and give him a smile, Catlin tugs on my hand and starts dragging me away...
"Call me or something " he shouts.
I nod and run after Catlin.

(Chases POV)
Woah shes so beautiful and we have so much in common, I hope she does actually call me...
" what's good baby bro" my brother waddles up to me, he let's out a little burp and blows it in my face
I ignore him
"Bro" he waves his hand in front of my face. But I keep staring at the way sam went.
"Who the fuck was that who you were talking to"
"I-im no-not sure".
