Chapter 19: This Ends Now!

Start from the beginning

Several people looked up at Kol and Hayley as they stepped inside. It looked as though Lucien had been in the middle of a party. "Kol!" Lucien called with a wide smile. "Why didn't you tell you'd be calling, I would have brought more party favors." He waved at a couple of girls who barely had any clothes on.

"Get out!" Kol snarled at the party-goers. Hayley crossed her arms and glared at the people in her path.

Lucien sighed. "Yes. Please. Go! I have business with my mate!" Waving his guests out of the door, Lucien smiled at Kol and Hayley. "What can I do for you two?" he asked them.

"Where in the hell is my daughter?" Hayley yelled at Lucien, moving across the floor and grabbing Lucien by the shirt collar.

Lucien held up his hands. "Darling, no need for violence, unless that's your thing." his eyebrows went up, his smile turning wicked as his eyes lit up. A small vase went sailing by Lucien's head, shattering against the wall behind him. Lucien lost his smile. "Hey, I bought that in Brazil!" Lifting a finger, Lucien glared at Kol. "Do not break anything else, Mikaelson!"

"How about I break your nose if you don't tell me where in the hell my daughter is?" Hayley demanded, shaking Lucien to get his attention.

Lucien looked from Hayley to Kol as Kol picked up an expensive looking painting. "Not the Monet!" Lucien cried as Kol broke the frame over his knee. "Bloody hell!"

"Where is my daughter?" Hayley yelled in Lucien's face.

Lucien finally looked at Hayley. "You mean Klaus' little bastard?" he let out a chuckle and Hayley lost her temper. Letting go of his shirt, she took the flat of her palm and drove it into Lucien's nose, hearing the satisfying sound of cartilage breaking. It looked like that self-defense class might pay off after all.

"Tell me!" Hayley yelled.

"Get your hands in the air!" a voice called out and Hayley gritted her teeth when she found Lucien's bodyguard standing in the doorway, a gun thrust in Hayley's direction.

"Over here, mate!" Kol said and the bodyguard whirled around in Kol's direction. Kol rolled his eyes. "Is that really how you handle a gun?" he demanded. The bodyguard looked confused and Kol took the opportunity to throw a piece of the frame at him, hitting the man in the gut with a sharp piece of wood.

"Oh, God!" the bodyguard slumped to the ground, beginning to bleed on the carpet.

"Not my bloody carpet! You barbarians!" Lucien moaned, his hands on his nose. "Bloody hell!" Trying to stand up, he shouted in pain when Hayley grabbed him by the hair.

"I'm not asking again: Where is my daughter?" Hayley shouted in Lucien's face.

"I don't have her!" Lucien yelled at her, glaring up at her. "That's not what I get paid to do!" Turning his gaze on Kol, Lucien glared at him. "I want out, too, you idiot! I know that you and your bloody family care only for yourselves but I never wanted to be part of this! The de Martels' killed my father! I never wanted any of this!"

"Is that who has Hope?" Hayley yelled at Lucien.

Lucien shook his head. "No one ever said anything about the child. Just Elijah," Lucien told them, his head bowing. "They wanted to teach Mikael a lesson."

"Elijah?" Hayley looked at Kol who came at Lucien so quickly she had to move out his way.

"What in the hell are you telling us?" Kol screamed, grabbing Lucien by the shirt collar. "What are they planning on doing to my brother?" he jerked Lucien to his feet and shook him. "Tell me or I will kill you!"

Lucien nodded. "Right. Alright. Let's all just calm down. Shall we?" He offered them a bloody smile. "The de Martels' they are planning on a rendezvous at the docks. Elijah is supposed to come. Alone to talk about one, last assignment to end his business with the de Martels. However," Lucien groaned. "May I have a bit of ice for this?" He pointed at his nose.
