Ones silence is their loudest cry, their lack of hunger is the biggest sign, isolation, mutilation, wearing long sleeves for the scars to hide. Lost In a gaze of the ocean blue sky, haunted by your thoughts alone at night, you can never escape your self, cause there is never anywhere to run.

You see a smile on their face and think they're happy, but on the inside they're dying and on the out they're laughing. No one knows what happens beyond close doors, the way they feel alone and always insecure. A blade separating the flesh, numbs the anguish that embeds in their mind, a dozen empty bottles every night, trying to drown what they can't fight.

Depression isn't a battle, it is a war. You can never march in alone, cause you will always taste defeat. It is a sickness, a monster, a vulture with an endless hunger, when you think you've got it by the throat, it will tear you asunder.

Don't be blind to those who are in need. Don't take advantage of those who are dependent on you. Extend your hand to those who you see drowning, cause one day you will need to be saved too. And when that day comes, someone will either turn their back, or save you as you have others.
