I walked in the library and went up the stairs where I met the three of my friends Hailey, Alex, and Brooke. When I reached the top step I was greeted by a huge thud, it was Brooke, she had fallen off the ladder trying to put a book back on the top shelf. This was expected from Brooke since she was rather clumsy. I was helping her up when I heard Hailey say "if there were an answer i'd find it here" the three of us turned and gave her a look "uhhh wha-" Alex said just in time to get cut off by Brooke "we have to go now before we're late for role call". It took us a minute to contemplate what just happened before we all sprinted down the stairs and started down the street. Once we reached the orphanage we went to me, Brook,and Hailey's room and one by one we jumped through the still open window just in time to act like we were doing and something, a few moments later Mrs.Shock opened the door to see what she thought was us finishing a card game she looked at Alex and did a sigh of relief " oh there you are Alexander I was wondering why you weren't in your room with Thomas and Daniel, we cant have you gone now can we" he responded with "sorry, I just got caught up in the game" she looked at us all with a sly half smile I felt her cold eyes beaming giving me the chills " oh, and Luna can you close that window" I turned red feeling like my face was on fire, did I really forget to close the window. Mrs.Shock left the room still having that smile on her face. My thoughts were interrupted by Brook speaking in an aggressive tone " why does she even have to take stupid role call! Nobody wants to adopt us were almost 14" seeing as Brooke was raised here since she was a baby I could understand her anger. "Well there is a way we could find out who all of our parents are, or were, and why they left us" said Hailey with a mischievous smile pulling out the book she was reading in the library. "when did you grab that,wait you don't have a library card, and wheres the bar code on that?" I watched as Alex got more and more confused. Then again no one had noticed that the book had no title or cover and looked as if it was written and not typed.
