Chapter One

Stephanie walked down the hall of her high school in San Francisco glancing around for her friend Eddie. Her green eyes sparkle with happiness once she spots him and makes her way to the bench where he was sitting. "Hey.' Steph said with a smile "one moment.' Eddie replied not taking his eyes up from his book Stephanie rolled her eyes to herself Eddie always had his nose in a book if the world blew up Eddie wouldn't even notice.  "Hey." Eddie replies after looking up finally two minutes later  Stephanie's eyes were all over the place  her hands starting to tremble she sat on them quickly to hide the evidence. "You feeling ok?" Eddie asked raising a eyebrow "Of course. " Stephanie replied in the most confident voice she could muster. "You sure"? Eddie replied not quite believing her "I'm fine I promise Eddie." Stephanie says not quiet believing herself. The bell rings for fifth period science  "we've got science right?" Stephanie stammers  "yea." Eddie replies looking worried "I'll see you there then." Stephanie says and she jumps up and down out of the hallway Sure Steph Sure you're fine Eddie thinks and heads to class shaking his head in dismay. 'Tanner?!" Mr Nye calls out during roll call Stephanie still hasn't shown up and class has been in session for five minutes Eddie shakes his head thinking the same thing as Mr.Nye where is Stephanie    Stephanie slips in two minutes later "I'm sorry I'm sorry I was locked out of my locker..." Stephanie murmurs a lie and goes to her desk in the back of the room; Mr.Nye grimaces but quickly recovers "Today we will be discussing the dangers of high school." Mr.Nye announced in a tone that Stephanie's uncle reserved when he announced he wrote a new song or a fact about Elivs. Stephanie moaned while rolling her eyes and drowned into her water bottle that was filled with vodka if Stephanie had to suffer threw science at least she could check out mentally. "Drinking" said a boy at the front of the room, "Drugs." said the girl next to Stephanie wrinkling her nose in disgust "Excellent!" Mr.Nye  said beaming like he won the lottery. "That's why I have these."Mr.Nye said holding up a box that looks like a at home Mani peddi  kit "You're letting us get mannipedis's?" asked Gia hopefully "No." Mr.Nye replied cracking up "There drug tests." Stephanie paled and   quickly jumped up and grabs her bag and starts running out   "Steph!" Eddie cried running out after her Stephanie keeps running all the way to her locker; "Steph?! Eddie says as he finds Stephanie leaning against her locker  blinking back tears, "Guess we're both screwed huh?" asked Eddie. Stephanie glances at Eddie like he's crazy suddenly it seemed harder to breathe than usual Stephanie fell to the ground hard. "STEPH SOMEONE HELP!" Eddie screamed panicking Stephanie was slowly turning gray and going in and out of consciousness "HELP SOMEBODY" Eddie screamed again as the school  nurse ran over and started dialing nine-one-one "what happend?" she asked Eddie as nine-one-one answered,   "i..I don't know" Eddie stammers  as Stephanie weakly grabs his hand and weakly whispers "don't worry about me." and everything went black
