"She's been worried about you since her death anniversary is near, you've been like that this past years. So she'd like to get you out of stress of missing her and have some happy free time."
"Fine, you're so persistent."
"Okay, the same place the same time, I'm gonna call you up later, bye." Then he hung up. Another lifeless day is it. Her anniversary is near, sometimes I didn't want to remember it, but it's the only time I can think of her. I drown myself and not think of her. But it's still futile. As I now, I'm working as a psychiatrist in the hospital I owned, thanks to my old man who didn't forget me. I'm living in my own on my penthouse overlooking the Tokyo tower. They say I have everything a normal person wants, fame, intelligence, high education and wealth. But they are absolutely wrong. How can I truly experience those if you don't have someone to share with them? I think those things are useless to me now.
I went to the hospital where I work, because we have so many patients to supervise, I also have to manage my employees, now that my hospital is undergoing some changes, I need to undergo changes also. My employees depend on their work also.
"Ohayou guzaimasu, Dr. Kagami." The receptionist greeted.
"Ohayou, are there any case here while I'm gone?"
"No, Dr. everything is fine."
"Good." I went straight to my office and read the documents filling my desk for the past few days. I heard a knock and my secretary show up.
"Dr. Kagami, you have lunch meeting between the board and patients schedule after that."
"Is that all Kaite-san?"
"That's all Dr. Kagami, is there anything you want?"
"Uhm, maybe a cup of coffee will do, thanks."
"Of course, right away Dr."
"Ah by the way Dr., you haven't endorse a leave yet for Saturday." I stop reading the papers and look at him.
"Leave for what?"
"Uhm, usually you take leave for one day, and that day is one Saturday Dr." Suddenly, the thing suddenly slips off my mind.
"Uh, yeah, I haven't yet, I will do that, thanks for reminding."
"Okay sir." When he slammed the door infront, I heave a sigh and lean back on my swivel chair. I grab the only picture frame in my glass table and stare at it for the longest time. I haven't forgotten, the picture of Silver waving her hand while she accidentally caught me off taking pictures of her.
"How could I forget you? Do you still think of me?" I caress the picture as if I can touch her actual face.
"Please comeback...." I leaned and tap my lips on hers dreaming that it's her true lips I'm kissing right now.
"Jiro, are out of work?"
"Yeah, Yuji, you don't have to call me, I haven't forgotten."
"I'm just worried, you're schedule is full today and you haven't texted me earlier, so I thought you forgot."
"Alright, alright, I'm coming right now. I'm just out of work." I hung up the phone fast, wear my coat, and head for the exit. I drove my car along the highway of Tokyo enveloping the sky-high skyscraper. I halt infront of a coffee shop where we decided to meet. I push the glass door and look around for Yuji.
"Jiro, right here!" Ayaka waved off her hand. I went straight to their place. I kissed Ayaka on her cheeks.
"You haven't changed that much Ayaka, still the same." I joked.
"I'm a big girl now, it doesn't mean you have a hospital to run to, you can still call me girl."
"Woah, relax Ayaka, he's just telling the truth." Yuji defended.
"So, you're taking Jiro's side instead of me? How dare you? You two haven't changed a bit, still teasing me." Ayaka crossed her arms in her chest.
"So, what are we doing here?" I asked.
"Meter senpai is coming back." She declared.
"For good?"
"That's what she said the last time she called to me."
"And was that last time?" Yuji inquired.
"Just last night."
"At last, she's coming back." Yuji sighed in relief.
"Then, what's the big deal?"
"It's a big deal Jiro, everyone knows about it except Sho senpai."
"Is she hiding from him or something?"
"I don't know about that, that's what she said. I don't get those two. Sometimes they are sweet but sometimes they are bitter. It's better if they talk to each other. Sho senpai's been weird all of a sudden after the night of their graduation, the day Meter senpai left us." She heaves a deep sigh and starts to talk again.
"I wonder what will be our life now if Silver was still here with us." My heart sunk in misery as I remember the day I lost her.
"No offense Jiro, I just missed her. If she survived that accident 8 years ago, where could she be right now?"
"That, we don't know Ayaka, let's just say that she's happy right now wherever she was. And let's be happy, she don't want us to be sulking here without doing nothing. Silver is a great person." Yuji stated.
"Ah, Jiro, there will be a party at the Niji Hotel this weekend." (Rainbow Hotel)
"What party? Niji Hotel?"
"Hello, the newly build hotel here in the Tokyo, they will be having their opening ceremony. I think all of the known people and celebrities were invited in the party."
"Am I invited too?" I sarcastically said.
"Well, it should be Meter senpai that got invited, but she told me that you will be her proxy and beside she will arrive next week I think."
"What? So am I a proxy now?"
"Relax Jiro, we all have worked this weekend, and besides you are the next one who is close to Meter senpai." Yuji stated.
"So, what is this party?"
