WHY ME? CHAPTER 1

     Never trust anyone. Never not be afraid, it puts you in danger. Put this down, and you'll be in danger. Everyone you now know, is possibly in danger. I am Clayton, Kenneth Clayton Ford. This, is what happened to my life. This is why I'm warning you, to make sure everyone who reads this, stays alive and survives.

     It was just an ordinary day. It was raining, thankfully, and everyone was bored in class since my teacher, let's call him Mr. Pineapple, made us do i-ready. Mr. Pineapple always made us do the worst things on Fridays, because I guess he just wanted to make us even more miserable. Everyone was practically on the edge of their seats. It was one minute before the last bell rang. A couple seconds before the bell rang, there was a lock down. The teacher hurriedly panicked frantically, turned off the lights, closed the blinds, and locked the door. I was looking around, waiting for the announcement to control everyone and say it's a drill. We waited, and waited. About an hour later, we heard the secretary's voice sound over the intercom. Her voice was weary, and I didn't want to trust it, but my head just followed instructions so that I wouldn't get in trouble again.

     "Everyone did a great job," she whispered into the mic. ¨This is was not a drill, but the police-"Her voice was cut off and we could hear someone scream, as we heard choking. ¨Alright you little shits,¨ a voice said. ¨for those of you who are still alive, you're lucky.¨ He laughed a bit. I imagined a horrifying smile on a person's face. ¨I want everyone to remember this day,¨ he went on. ¨you will all be killed but one of you. I have already chosen who this is, so don't get your hopes up, Clayton,¨ My heart sank. Am I going to die? Will I be the last one alive? ¨Just because you get to live, doesn't mean you get to escape that easily. I will be hunting you down, boy.¨ The intercom shut off. Everyone was staring at me. I wanted to break down crying.
