1. I will start with my thesis; are you happy? A simple question I think, and a question worth while. I ask you this question in hope you will see that this world is not just for you or me. We stay here yes, but for what? Money is spent, cars break down, and pleasure passes. Is this what you wish for, or is it you want to win? Even then, after you win, you just want to win again. You get the gold just to toss the silver because best is better until better becomes best. If it is your goal to get gold just know that gold is but better, and again after gold you will see better but never best. Now you know haunting man is the hunt for happiness but true happiness is not of this world. So I ask you again, are you happy?
2. When one equals two and two leads to three I question why they question me. For four forgot five and five forgets six. So I ask why forest and fire fight not to mix? Why did war begin when seven eight nine, but then again didn't ten? Now that it's over it's our turn to begin again, even though we know not when.
3. Wish you may and wish you might, but know love and spite are no different when in light. The heart is deceiving I say in truth, for it makes a fist to take a tooth, but word of spite will take your sight. A lie is sly and tricks the eye; just know before you die, love will take you to great heights. So careful when you wish in dream or spite.
4. Up is down where down is up and up down again. For if up is down and down is up we as men can't drink from cups. If rocks fall up and birds fly down I question "which will hit the ground?" I run down low and fly up high as ground and sky pass me by. For down is up where up is down and down up again.
5. With eyes fixed forward and thoughts fixed backwards I sit in my seat with both shadow and light, for the weight of the world is like a ton. I try and try but without deny surely I will die, for what I want I can not have and what I have I do not want. With eyes fixed forward and thoughts fixed backwards.
6. Through thin glass I see cut grass, tall grass cut small all things must fall. From blade to blade the cuts were made and like the grass tall men will call, and when they chop we will drop. Though they scoff we know the grass is soft for from tall the grass was cut small.
7. A million stings from a million bees, a million jingles from a milion keys. A man sits down below the ground and he hears the holler of a hound so back up he goes as he hold his nose. For what he smells he also knows that this thing can not go, for even this will not end the feud. War is wild and war is never mild.
8. The end is just an illusion used by those that know the truth to hide that which is just the beginning.
9. Is it the duty of those that hate me to haunt me, and those that love me to loathe me? For if this is my curse I wish not for hate nor love. I wish to wish to be lost in the light. I wish to be enveloped in warmth. Is it my lot in life that those that trust me betray me and condemn me? Is it the sins of two sinners that condemn me with this curse? For if this is my curse I wish for rest and reprieve. I wish to wish for sinners not to sin toward their fellow men. I wish to be free, for is this a hard wish to simply be free? This is my cure and I want to be free. God save me.
10. Goodbyes are sad, they drive you mad. But to go without is to stay in doubt. To say goodbye is not a sin because surely I will see you again. Just know that this is just for now even though we know not how. We are more than friends I know this now for these are my words my solemn vow. I wish we'd hugged I wish we'd kissed just know from my heart you'll be missed.
11. Even the dark knoweth the light, but the light knoweth not the dark. All day the dark runs from the light, even though it brings love not spite. Only if the dark could open to the light and the light knoweth the dark. For light is bright and dark is stark. Now forever we live, two birds of a feather.
12. If time were to stop would you want to hop? If you had a year would you stop, listen, and hear? If our world got caught would you ponder a thought? The world is yours, the world is ours, the world has but a couple hours. Words, wisdom, knowledge, and knowing. If you know this do you know where you're going? A question is a question, and I know you'll ponder, until to you, comes that which is fonder. To know is to go, and read and write, now for the bright; this is how they show their light. I ask you, do you know? Where in the world will you go? Math and science teach of a star, but they never tell you just how far. Knowing is knowledge, and knowledge is knowing, but even now I know not where I'm going.
13. You see me dance you see me play, you see me smile you see me gay. You see and hear me when I say, "oh yes I do, I love this day." I run and sing and jump around, I stomp and march upon soft ground. I love, I love, I love, the sound, oh when I go and stomp around.
      14. Scratch and scratch it tries to hatch, i stand and try to find a match. But tick tock goes my clock; it has the time but has no rhyme. I sit and sat with my hat i played and tried to find my cat. But tick tock goes my clock; it has the time but has no rhyme. I see the stars but see no sky I sit and see and say, "oh my." But tick tock goes my clock; it has the time but has no rhyme. I wish my pen would start to write I would say, "my dear what a sight." But tick tock goes my clock; it has the time but has no rhyme. I say, I do, I surely fear I may never get out of here, because I broke my clock.
      15. Wood is hard and wood is cold. Wood is dying when it's old. Wood is soft and wood is hot. Wood is growing when it's not. Wood makes things and wood breaks things, wood is never not something. Wood makes tall and wood makes all. What if wood begins to fall? When wood and fire fetch a flame they will look and think to blame. The one they say that like the fire is the one who'll go no higher.
      16. My heart it crumbles so, I stand and my head's hung low. I sit and i do not know. Everything is moving slow. I watch and cry as you go. I sit and I do not know. Come back to me in the snow. You move just like the waters flow. I sit here and now I know, I will never let you go.
