Shadow guardian

Chapter 1

This story is in a small town outside of New York City, this story you would probably say it is a legend, or write it off as a fairy tail, but this is the story about my mother, she was a collage student in New York, she was just a normal girl but she wasn't one to complain, she had no friends the only friend she had was her school work, she was the student who always handed her homework in on time.

Until the day at school, it seemed like a normal day, until a guy appeared in the door way of the class room, he was wearing black skinny jeans and a black hoodie, with the zip undone he wore a shirt with a stretched out collar underneath, his hair was shaggy like he hadn't brushed it all his life, "class this is Shadow he has moved here from High Bank, make sure you make him feel welcome." He walked past her, his eyes made a bee line for hers for a second but for her it felt like five, he made his way to the back of the class and sat in the empty desk, all she could do was put her head down and get on with her school work.

After class she went to her locker to pick up a few things before the end of the day, it was funny because all she think about was Shadow's eyes, they were almost yellow and why did he stare at her why not anyone else in the class I mean what was so special about her, she looked at her outfit to see if anything was out of place but everything was the same as she left the house this morning, the clock hit three, knocking her out of her thoughts the bell went for the end of the day and she started to walk off campus.

She took her normal way home. She took quickest way which was walking on the high way and through the back allies and for a change, she took a new way through a dark alley that she would normally dodge but she was curious, it was late now it takes her an hour to get to her house from the city and there was no busses that could drop her any closer to her house, she started to walk down the alley until she heard "Hi gorgeous" she swiftly turned around and saw three men, one with one eye blue and the other brown, the second man was fiddling with a stick sitting on an old crater, the third had a tattoo of a skull on the side of his face, they all wore hoodies she couldn't see what the colour of them were in the darkness of the alley, then the guy with the tattoo grabbed her hair and shoved her into the wall of the alley she hit the ground of the alley, she looked up at the men but they were just a blur to her, but she could hear them mocking her until she heard a voice behind them saying, "what are you idiots doing here, did the city get boring for ya, all those girls, I mean you got bored with every single one of them, wow you do get around."
"S Shadow"
"Good you know me, now before anyone gets hurt, I suggest you get lost.....GO!"

The men scattered as fast as they could down the alley and out on the Main Street, Shadow turned around and saw her laying on the ground, he went over to her and saw her wallet with all her details, he saw her address and her name, "well Crystal looks like I better get you home" he picked her up and took her home he snuck in bedroom window luckily her bedroom was on the ground floor, he laid her gently down on her bed and tucked her in, he left her to rest he climbed out the same window that he had came in, he leant up against the wall of the house and sighed looking up at the night sky, seeing the moon full all of a sudden he flies down the street never had to be seen till the mining.

The next morning Crystal woke from her good night sleep only to be greeted by the beautiful sun raze glowing through the window, she sat up and stretched hands forwards, she looked beside her to see her bed side clock showing ten o' clock she gasped and rushed out of bed and threw a pair of jeans on and a sweater and rushed out of the door with her school bag, she ran as fast as she could to school through the high street and all the alleys until she reached campus.

She jogged into class and sat down in her desk and she spotted Shadow at the back of the class with one headphone in his ear listening to music, class was the same where the teacher rattles on about a subject that none of the students were interested in and neither was Crystal, she never had a interest in Shakespeare, and without noticing Crystal was surprisingly tired and she fell asleep right there on her desk, secretly Shadow was watching her from the back of the class and at the end of class Shadow walked over to her, hanging over her like a dead goose, "wacky wacky sleepy head" she looked up at him staring into his yellow eyes, "oh hello Shadow" she answered her voice was very weary, she sat up in her chair and blinked twice at him quickly and in the middle of those two blink, she could of sworn she saw a wolf standing in front of her not Shadow, she stared blankly at him " umm I got to go."
