I wondered why dragons could live for so long. Our species live for a long time but our leaders lived for even longer. The leaders were the controllers of the elements. The queen was the power over the night. The princess had the power of the day. The night though in our realm ruled. Some would call it weird but our way of thinking was that the night was the time that got little respect. Some would also say night got lots of respect. Our way was our way. Know were was I. Yes I was talking about why we lived so long. Well we are supernatural creature who live in a monarchy where the queen had all power with the princess adviser but the queen was one that worked like human jury's. She would listen to both sides and root out the truth. Also we had a alliance with the griffins. They were a good example of a modern democracy. Well who cares I can never answer my question on why we live so long. It is unknown. Might be because treatments for sickness or injury was modern but trying to find things out like why dragon and human life spans were different was beyond us. Why find out. We are good at the moment. Till they came. They came and destroyed our home know we fight to keep our home alive. It is us the dragons and griffins against the vampire hordes. The vampires are 10 times as large as the dragons and griffins combined. They all have special abilities that out match the dragons water fire air and ground powers. Ground have no wings and could control certain aspects of the earth. Same with all the other types but they have wings and only fire and air could fly. Waters dragons wings could only propeller them in water not actually take them off the ground. The war was going to last till the new fire elemental dragon was found. The element dragons could control all aspects of there element. The dragons were born with this power and it shows at age 13. And it was random. Every 10 thousand years a new element dragon was born to be trained by the old element dragon for 5 hundred years. Not a long time in dragon lives. But that is just the beginning. Here is my story. The story of the new four elements that will end this 100 year war. I am Rowen Firebrand and I am the new fire element dragon.
