Chapter one

I sat down by my window enjoying the view and men did it have a lovely view. I was so glad I had picked this room five years ago when we moved here. I wasn't really happy to be moving out of my old house but dad thought it was best after mom left. "Jade, Jade" I turned around and found my little sister Jesse staring at me with her large almond eyes, just one look at those eyes and I knew something was wrong, her eyes had a way of showing emotions without her talking and by the way they were pale and slightly dull I knew she was hungry "What is it Jess" she walked into my room and turned on the light and her face and phisque were on full view. Her honey brown hair was the way it was the right ponytail I had styled it this morning, her tall and lean frame stood out, she was quite tall for a thirteen year old "I'm hungry, when are going to cook dinner" just as I thought, I turned to the clock on my table and it was 7:43pm shut I had forgotten to make dinner, I stood up from my bed and pulled my ear phones from my ear "where is Judy", " she's downstairs watching tv" I nodded my threw a tank top over my head, I went downstairs with Jesse behind me, I ran into the kitchen and started making dinner, I decided to go with a quick recipe spaghetti and meatballs, while I was cooking my phone rang I looked at the caller ID and saw dad on it, I picked up the call "Honey", "yes dad, good evening", "how are you and the girls and your brother", " we are fine but Jace isn't back from practice yet but I know his okay", "that's nice, so Nicky ask me to stay over and I wanted to ask if it's ok with you guys" Nicky was his girlfriend and she was really nice and my siblings adored her, dad was head over heels for her, I don't blame him, she had a great character and she was really easy on the eyes, she had blonde hair and the cutest blue eyes and not to mention her rocking body, she could pass as a model and she was a chef so I liked her. "sure it's okay,say hi you her for me" , "sure say good night to the girls for me", "ok".I dropped my phone and went back to cooking, I noticed blonde curls struggling to get in the chair and I helped her up "Thanks Jade", "welcome", I ruffled her hair, unlike our siblings we both had blonde hair and bluish gray eyes. "what are we having for dinner", "spaghetti and meatballs" she nodded her head and just then Jace my cocky brother enter after saying hi he turned to me " What" I questioned him, "just tell dad" I knew what he was talking about " There's no point in telling him",I asked Jesse and Judy to set the table and we had dinner, after dinner I tucked Judy to bed. I went to my room and as always I couldn't fall asleep because I was insomniac but soon sleep came "Leave her out of this it's not her fault" I heard a woman shouting I told around and saw a little girl under her bed crying I tried to help her but she couldn't hear me I heard glass shatter in the other room and screaming then a gun shot and the door opened a faceless man holding a gun entered the room he went straight to the bed pointed the gun at the little girl I shut my eyes and screamed and the next thing I saw was blood "Jade wake up it's a dream wake up please" my eyes opened and I saw Jace in front of me he was scared I held his hands and cried.
