Small Apologies - chapter 1

David's P.o.v.

David awoke to the sight of the sun bright in the sky sounds of birds singing there morning tune happily. He slowly sat up in his bed and stretched while yawning. He looked around his cabin room for a moment before standing up and walking to his dresser to get his Usual Camp Campbell Outfit and went to the bathroom to shower and change and some other things.

After he was washed up and dressed he left the bathroom and put his dirty clothes in the dirty clothes hamper. He walked over to the desk in the cabin and picked up the activity clip board to see what the campers should do today. He decided on what to do for today's activities and he smiled his usual smile before walking out and looking at the light of dawn.

The campers would still be asleep so he decided to pass some time by taking a walk in the woods and admire nature. It felt so nice out and it was calm. As his little walk continued he soon came across a huge tall pine tree and walk over to it. "Ah nature. You never cease to amaze me!" He said to no one in particular.

He walked around the tree and noticed something out of the ordinary. As he took a closer look he could see a name carved in the side of it. his name and.. a name that was carved out of it. He felt a sudden wave of confusion and curiosity wash over him as he looked at it for a bit.

David let his hand move on it's own and let his fingers gently touch the carved out name. As he looked at it more he could see a few letters. D..N..EL..?? The name seemed a bit familiar... who is the owner to D,N,EL?? He would have to think about it for a bit and he would do that heading back to camp.

He Arrived back to camp and walked into the mess hall to see the campers awake and eating breakfast. He happened to spot is co-concealer Gwen on the phone with someone. She seemed to look a bit worried. He walked over to her with a small smile on his face and greeted her. "Why Good morning Gewn! You seem a bit worried are you doing alright?" He asked putting his hands on his hips still smiling.

"O-oh hey David.. Ummm, T-The call is for you..." she slowly handed the phone to David with a shakey hand. He took the phone from her and held it up to his ear and spoke. "Hello?"

"Why hello,David~..."
