ELENA COSTA HAD always been a loser, and she owned it. Ever since her parents had decided to move to several different places, she found herself always being the new kid with no friends. So that's who she decided to be. That loner girl, who no one really bothered to even talk to. She hadn't made a solid friend since she was six-years-old, and that's how she liked it.
The town of Derry didn't really catch Elena's eye when her Mother spoke so highly about it. It was pretty average — seemed both safe and friendly for kids. That was until 1988 when poor Georgie Denbrough, the sweet boy who lived opposite her, mysterious vanished. Then, nothing about that town seemed friendly or safe anymore.
Bill Denbrough had only known Elena for almost two years, nowhere near as long as he'd known his best friends for, but he knew that she would help find Georgie. Despite being told not to, Georgie tried his hardest to befriend the mysterious girl from across the street, and succeeded. She'd grown quite fond of the Denbrough siblings over the year that she'd known them, not that she'd ever admit it to anyone. That's how Elena Costa earned herself a one-way ticket into The Losers' Club.
When more secrets are revealed about Derry's history, and how there seems to be something suspicious happening to all the Losers, they know that they have to find out what happened to poor Georgie and the rest of the young kids that went missing.
One thing that no one expected was that behind it all was one horrendous dancing clown, that they'd all experienced hell with. He knew what they feared most. And unfortunately for Elena, he knew of all her fears and he used every single one to try to destroy her.
