Chapter 1

Lilly's POV
I'm so nervous because it time to go the reaping, I'm worried and afraid if my name picked and I will be leaving my own daughter who is only 3 year old!
I'm holding my daughter's hand as we walk to desk and they pin ours fingers and on papers to put ours names on list. As we walk and line up, Polly is front and I'm in middle. I was hoping she be okay over there. I saw weird lady dressed up as purple and pink ish and too much makeup. She doing speech and I wasn't pay a attention what she is saying because all I'm thinking is Polly.
"So, Ladies first!" The lady said smile and walk to bowl and pick a card out, my heart beat faster and faster it felt like I'm having panic attack until...
"Lilly Jones!" She said my heart sink, did she just said my name? Oh please, no no no. I saw people look at me and mumble about me as I start to walk to stage slowly.

I'm waiting in sort of room I never seen before, until door open I turn round, "mummy!" Polly said running to me and I pick her up then hug her.
"Hey, it okay." I told her, she start to crying. "Don't cry baby."
"Who is looking after me?" She said and I'm worried about that I don't know what to say to her, she could die without know how to get foods.
"I can look after her, if you want." A familiar voice said.
"Ellison?" I said, why is my brother here? Why does he care?
"I'm sorry that we mad at you." Ellison said what do he mean by 'we'? I look at him confused. "Come in." Ellison said.
Three familiar people walk in I look at them shocked.
"Mum? Dad? Joel?" I said look at them surprised.
"We really sorry." Mum said tears falling down on her face. I hug her.
All my family hug me before they leave.

I'm in train with district 7 boy that i forgot his names. We waiting ours mentor to tell us what we have to do survive in this games we going into.
I miss Polly already and my family too I forgave them. I hope I will try to win this game for Polly, she need me and she doesn't have a father since she was born. I hope I will find one day.

We arrived at the capital and saw lots people dressed up different bright colour, all we got is grey and dirty colour in district 7. All foods is so amazing I wish Polly was here to eat.

I went inside a place for us to stay in, I went to my own room and wow! Nice room and there clothes on bed for ready for me to wear it, I went to inside shower I struggle don't know how to press buttons and after I finished shower and put PJ on and get in bed.

Next day, I get change and went to breakfast, I saw a tv in front us, it showing pictures who in each district from 1 to 12.
