World war one

Blood red poppies grow as tall and proud as the soldiers that died fighting for their families, their country, and their lives; they lay in Flanders field. Their bones covered by the ravenous mud. Grass starts to grow but never reaches full height. Just to think we we're celebrating this blood bath of a war! WAR is never good but we thought it might change the course of our empire. I guess not!

Chapter 1:

I awoke to a parade in my town, we hardly have parades but today we have and today will be the start of what will be known as ww1. I always knew that that war was never over and no one would believe me! Not joe in the butchers, not Hillary in the library and not even my own parents who's names are Matthew and Mary. School started again and it was compulsory to go my mother shouted. I don't know why I hate that place it's a prison! The best bit is my friends: Susan, markkas and Annalisa.

Chapter 2:

I don't often disagree with my mother but she would often say there is no such thing as 'can not' which I disagree, I can not cook I would always tell her but she would say you will learn. Papa told me not to argue so I didn't.
