"That's what she said" Nathan said laughing. His laugh slowly died as he realized he was the only one laughing and then gave an awkward smile. "I'm booored." Groaned Sky. "Hey I thought you enjoyed my jokes." Grumbled Nathan. "Pft yeah right. In what world?" Sky snarled. Nathan crossed his arms childishly and grumbled to himself. "Hey, guys c'mon. Let's all try to get along. I bet we can find something to do." Said Ray. "Like what? We should do something scary for once." Said Sky. "S-scary?" Stuttered Kylie. "Yeah. You heard me." Sky said with a grin. "B-but, I'm only 10. Isn't that t-too little?" Kylie asked. "Oh don't worry you'll be fine." Nathan said standing up. "Kylie does kinda have a point guys." Ray said glancing toward the small blonde. "Ray, she'll be fine." Sky assured. "17" Nathan said pointing to himself "and 15" he said pointing to Ray and Sky. "She'll do just fine. Besides most ten year olds would kill to do what we're about to do" Nathan smirked grabbing a few drawstring bags. "What ARE we gonna do anyways?" Asked Ray. "Don't worry about it. Get me 4 water bottles, 4 bags of trail mix, 4 flashlights, and 2 first aid kits." Nathan said. With that, Ray and Sky went to go retrieve the supplies. Ray gulped, she knew Nathan all too well. They were FOR SURE in for a treat.

The two girls came back with supplies. Sky set them on the counter then pulled out a pocket mirror as she touched up her make up and fix the bun her long, brown hair was in. Ray and Sky were complete opposites. Sky was your typical girly girl, loves shopping at the mall with her friends, constantly on social media, takes multiple selfies, listens to singers who are over played on the radio, all the stuff you'd pretty much expect. However, Ray on the other hand, wore boys clothes, and listened to other singers and bands who aren't usually on the radio or listened to by people like her sister. Being different like this made Ray question her gender. She'd been questioning it for a year already. "Ray, what are mom and dad gonna say?" Said Kylie breaking the silence. "They'll be find. It's scary, but I'm old enough. Plus with what we're doing I doubt we'll get hurt." Nathan said filling the bags with supplies.

Kylie sat on the couch, wearing her usual pink hoodie with a black silhouette of a cat on the front. She twirled her long blonde hair, then started whisper singing a song. Silence usually made Kylie uneasy considering how much she's always talking. She always gets quiet when she gets scared or worried. Not even when she's sad she doesn't go silent. She's usually complaining about why she's said or crying.

The door violently slammed opened and the silence broke. "Finnic!" Kylie squealed as she jumped up to hug the man. There in the doorway stood a tall man wearing navy blue glasses. He had light brown hair, gelled to the right. He wore a look of exhausted and was dressed in jeans and black polo shirt. Kylie hugged him and he shut the door behind him. "What's the special occasion? You're usually never dressed this nice" Ray teased standing up. Finnic held out his right arm and snapped. Immediately Kylie rushed into the kitchen with Nathan. "Job interview. Too lazy to change before I came over." Finnic replied. He walked over to Ray and gave her a small hug, then put his hands on his hips and glanced toward the kitchen. Kylie came out with a steaming mug of hot cocoa. She gave it to Finnic and he thanked her before she returned to the kitchen to help Nathan. Finnic took a sip, not caring about its heat then set the white mug on the table. "What are you guys up too?" Finnic asked sitting on the couch as Ray did the same. Sky sat in a chair across from the couch. "Something scary." She said with a smirk. A look of confusion crossed Finnic's face as he glanced at Ray. "Another adventure." Ray cleared up. "Oh, nice. Are your adventures usually along the lines of going to the candy shop and sneaking into hotel pools? Nothing scary, just, sugary and illegal?" Asked Finnic. "True, but it's fall now." Sky replied. "Oh yeah that's right. You guys do that one thing where you sneak into haunted places in the fall." Finnic said. He took a longer sip of the hot cocoa which was still steaming hot.

Sneaking into old, abandoned haunted houses was a tradition Nathan started when he was 10. He claims to have seen 55 ghosts, seen 10 skeletal parts, 3 dead bodies, heard 7 dead children giggling, and 12 dead people whispering. Roughly half of those were experienced with Ray and Sky who joined him when they were also 10. Nathan was a sucker for paranormal activity, which is why he kept track of everything. He writes in all down in a decent sized notebook, black with a ghost symbol on the front and Nathan's name in purple cursive letters on the back. With it, was a grey pen that he used to write with. With this record he decided he would write a book on paranormal activity when he retired or quit ghost hunting, which ever came first. After every experience he'd also write a quick summary about his night so he wouldn't forget.

Finnic finished his hot cocoa and Nathan walked out of the kitchen holding an extra bag. "Sup Finn." He said walking over to the group. Kylie followed him. Finnic and Nathan were brothers. Most of the time they never got along, but when they did, they made a good team. "Wanna tag along?" Nathan asked holding up the extra bag with a smile. "Might as well. I have nothing better to do and you guys need a mature adult." Finn replied standing up and taking the bag. Nathan gave everyone else their bags and they all put on their shoes and jackets. They walked out the door and Ray locked the door. They piled into Nathan's grey car. As soon as they were buckled and the engine was on, Nathan started driving. "And we're off to a new adventure." Nathan said.
