What is being human?
A state of mind?
A state of body?
Morality?
Is it something you feel?
Is it thinking?
Or is it feeling?
Are we all truly human?
Perhaps some of us are more than that
Most of us, are less than that
We look like humans but it's just a facade
We are monsters and demons in human form
Some hide it well, others you can clearly tell
Some wish to be human, others revel in what they are
Can a demon change?
Or is that a pipe dream?
Is it something that can be washed away?
I wish it was
If it were, I would have scrubbed it away long ago
But it isn't
Are you human, or a demon like me?
Is anyone truly human?
