Haley is Horatius niece and she works at the CSI Miami PD station. Jess is Eric Decker's daughter who also works at CSI Miami PD station. Ryan starts to fall in love with Haley at the office as a working in case together.
Haley and Uncle Horatio we're walking into the office talking about a case.Being shy Jess walks past the building lost in thought as it starts to rain. Haley walks out of the elevator and she goes into her lab to process the case that her and Uncle Horatio are working on. Jess trips over a piece of raised sidewalk landing face first into a puddle. Haley got a phone call from H telling her to meet her at the crime scene. He also calls Ryan to tell him the same thing. Jess sits up and sighs. Haley runs to the car with Ryan. Jess pushes her hair out of her face and walks to her apartment. Haley and Ryan see Jess walking to her apartment. "Hey Jess why are you all wet asked, Haley." "I was walking home in the rain" Jess starts then adds "it's only because my car broke down." "You go inside get changed we will wait for you," said Ryan. "We are going over to a crime scene," said Haley. Haley goes back over to the passenger side of the Hummer. Ryan goes to the driver side of the Hummer. Jess gets changed and then walks out of her apartment. She goes to sit behind Ryan. They make small talk in the Hummer.
