Today was a normal day for Jeonguk. He was still recovering from his wounds, all his members were, but they were managing as well as they could. The bullets weren't easy to take out, and Cory had to figure out a way to get them all into a car while only being able to use one arm.
Kisu had taken off with the girl, as they referred to her now, and they hadn't seen him since. It's not that they would be happy about seeing him, it would just be the satisfaction of getting to break his jaw with a good punch.
Jeonguk held the most anger towards Kisu for betraying them. They had been the closest. But Jinhong was doing the best out of all of them, because, as he claimed, "The world isn't ending guys! Sure we got hurt but we're healing, and they made the dumb mistake of making sure we weren't dead. We're all going to miss them but we have to move on. I loved her but there are more girls out there who won't leave us for dead." It was a speech to them all. And they all knew he was right. So then came the real healing. The physical healing.
Hui had called some old friends, Daeil and Sungoh, and asked for their help in watching out for things while the other healed. For Jeonguk it felt like the 'old times', when everything was so care free and they had enough money to last them years. Now everyone was on edge, afraid that if they let anyone from the outside in, it would end up the same way.
Jeonguk didn't talk much in the first place, but after this incident it seemed like he barely talked at all. He only talked when directly asked a yes-or-no question. He was afraid, it was blatantly obvious that he was so afraid to get close to someone again. Kisu had known almost everything about him, and all that information could come right back and bite him in the ass.
Jeonguk had been huddled up in his room for days, not crying or sulking, just sitting. He had had music playing in the background so it wasn't completely silent, but the wall next to his bed seemed to be his best friend now. It was painful for the others to watch. They knew he had been trying to move on and to recover, but he was so heartbroken and hurt.
Kisu had been a brother, not a friend, a part of his life that could never be replaced, and for him to betray them all like that, had almost destroyed Jeonguk.
But deep down, Jeonguk was still himself. His normal, quiet, determined self. He just had trouble seeing who he really was anymore.
He needed to be found.
And little did he know there would be someone to help him overcome his fear, to help him find himself.
But could she find herself too?
