-Maria-
As Sarah left once again after providing us with food and beverages, Emily and I were left in the sofa watching TV. I was a bit tired from last in Soho still, but I was really excited to hang out with Liam today. I know it is a bit soon to think this way, but I really like this guy. They way he makes me feel like I am the only girl in the room he’s interested in talking to and how he always bring forth the butterflies in my stomach. He seemed so genuine and kind, like it was second nature for him. I knew that it sounded a bit like a fairy-tale, but I didn’t want it to go away either. The summer would be over soon enough, and I wanted to make the best of it. It wasn’t like it was going to last anyway with us living in two different countries and him always traveling the world touring and promoting the band. That feeling made me a bit sad… but then I tried to remember that nothing had happened between us yet. Maybe I was getting my hopes up…
“Are you sure you’ll be fine by your own? I’m sure Liam wouldn’t mind you joining us,” I said to Emily who still sat in her dressing robe on the couch after I had gotten dressed. She had turned down Liam’s offer to join us when he texted me last night, not that I could blame her. Seeing Harry would be a bit awkward.
“Yes, Maria! I’m sure,” she insisted while smiling. I felt kind of bad for her. We were supposed to come visit her, and here she was going to be by lonesome all day while Sarah was with Eleanor and I with Liam. “I have some laundry to do anyway, and I’m sure I’ll find something to keep me occupied,” she continued.
“If you say so,” I said looking down at her.
“When is he picking you up?”
“Any minute now I think,” I said while taking a look at the screen of my phone. I had no idea what he had planned on doing today, but if it meant I got to spend time with him I was happy. A text appeared on my phone,
Knock, knock! I’m sat in the car waiting outside. Can you come down? I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to step out of the car right here. ;) xx
Oh, right! The streets would probably be packed with people right now and it wasn’t like he could just stand outside without someone noticing. Yet another reason why this would never work - I had no intention to end up on a magazine cover. The paparazzi were giving them a full dose of what they had, as they appeared more then once in a week in some gossip article of some sorts. Wonder how they do it…
“Right, he’s waiting outside. I’ll see you tonight, Em.” I said as put on my sandals and texted him back.
I’ll be right out! Xx
“See you later. Have fun!” Emily said as I left the apartment.
Once I stepped outside I realised I’d been right. There were people everywhere. I hurried over to the black Range Rover and got into the passengers seat.
“Hi, hope you didn't have to wait long!”
“Hi, Maria. You look beautiful, as always” he said ignoring my statement and once again my butterflies had returned. As we started driving I remembered I had no idea of where we were headed.
“Where exactly are you taking me? Did you have anything special in mind?”
“Uhm, no not really.” He said clearly thinking of something else as he rolled his eyes and smiled to himself. “I guess we could go to a park or something? The weather’s nice, so we would just take a walk before figuring out what we want to do next?” He then said now looking at me instead of the road.
“Yeah, sure, that sounds nice.”
After driving for just about ten minutes, I had already gotten the full details of how his place looked like a mess right now seeing as Harry was living there too for the moment. Then I had told him of how I kind of missed my mum telling me to tidy my room after living alone for almost two years. It was nice having someone looking after you and not having to have so many responsibilities. He agreed, and then told me what his mum and dad were like. He told me that his mum was maybe sometimes a bit too caring, as she tended to smother him and always ended up crying whenever she got the chance to see him. He had left home at the age of eighteen when he and the guys formed the band and started working together. They all figured it would be much easier if they lived closer to each other and the label when they had work to do. That made sense.
