Them

The Arrival

  "June get ready, we are heading to the firework show in a few" Says Jasmin. "I just have to put on my gloves" june says opening a drawer filled with gloves, socks and a the book, "The History of Gernack, how he came to power".

She grabs a pare of gloves and slides her hands through until they fit sung. June runs down the stairs, excited for the sights too be seen. "There you are June, I packed us a picnic dinner for later,  your father packet, hamburgers and his pocket grill, you know how much he loves that thing". "Yeah, I know mom he brings it everywhere".

June and Her Mom, Jasmine, head to the car, where there dad is waiting in the drivers seat.  "Are we all packed?" says the mechanical voice coming from dad. "Yes bb everything is packet" Jasmine says kissing her husband on the cheek. Huron starts the car and drives to the field where the fireworks are being showed.

Out the window June looks as the other cars pass by, she pretends that her dad was a flight officer in the WW4 and fighting off the mustins as they advance to the capitol. Lasers fly by bouncing off the windows as her dad drives right through brave as ever. Her and her mom manning the guns firing gauss rounds at the ground troops below.

They are invincible as they advance to the capital, but on thing stops them a giant ship with unknown flags hanging along the sides. As they close in June fades back into reality and her dad parks on the fresh dark green grass of the field. The family gets out and sets up a blanket and sits waiting for the fireworks.

"Hun, what color set of fireworks do you think there doing this year,  warm or cool" says the mechanical voice of Huron. "I hope they do the warm one this year that was breathtaking last time they showed it". June not paying attention to her mother and father talk lays down fiddling with the grass.

Paying attention at the little brown creatures crawling around between the blades of grass not seeming to be able to climb or cut theses green stalks. In a short time, explosions start going off and lights flicker in the sky. The audience watches in awh as these lights go off. Soon as the last firework go off, fighter jets fly over the field.

Everyone is overjoyed and excited about the unexpected event. The jets fly over in a neat and fast pace and soon as there out of sight loud explosions can be heard coming from the distance. Everyone turns silent. "Dad, whats going on?" June whispers. Huron turns a nob on his neck and he speaks in a lower tone of voice. "I don't know, honey don't worry it probably just a malfunction with the firework operations". As Huron says this a giant ship appears in the distance as a alarm can be heard warning the citizens of danger. Huron quickly turns is dial back up, "Get in the car we have to go".

Without question the family enters there vessel and tries to start the car. "Piece of randum garbage" says huron in a frustrated tone to his mechanical voice. "Dad, what is that thing" says june in a worried tone "Its nothing worth finding out" says Jasmin as huron starts hitting the dash of the car. Now the ship is casting a light over the field almost has if it was morning as it flys over head preparing to land. Above the ship, fighters can be seen attacking the ship but are not being to efficient at dealing any kind of damage to it.

The Huron gives up on his car and takes his family and runs away from where the ship is landing. "Dad, I'm scared", says june as she runs with her family. "I am too honey" says Huron as he runs and the ship makes contact with the ground. The ships bay opens up and a flood of metallic entireties march out chanting somewhat of a war cry. This flood is following a single metallic entity walking with its arms crossed behind his back, holding its chin up high.

Some men flooding out the ship are holding flags of a red and black coloration. Drop Ships soon appear to confront this alien force the massive army stops as the troops start leaping out of the ships and pointing there weapons at the hoard of aliens. 1 minute goes by then the troops start firing at the aliens. The front aliens pull up somewhat of a energy shield of sorts as the "leader" type walks calmly though the lasers coming at him. As he walks his left arm starts glowing a blueish color. As soon as he is in close range of the drop ships and the troops he points his left arm at the drop ships and fires a round energy ball that instantly blows up the drop ship and the troops.

"Keep running!!" says Huron as the run from the invading alien force as smaller alien ships fly over there heads and one lands in front of them. 4 metallic beings step out of the ship pointing there arms out at june and her parents. Huron stops and slowly rases his arms, his wife and june do the same. One of the aliens jogs over hand forcefully grab huron and lock his arms behind his back.

The same alien does the same to june and her mom, as the alien locks june arms together she feels the coldness of the beings hands touching her and she can hear the breathing of the alien, it sounds calm like its done it before. The alien pushes the family into the ship and sit them down on the cold floor.

The interior of the ship was dark only being lit by small red lights along the edges of the seats. Suddenly a door opens from behind them and walks infront of them. This alien seemed different, it was a pale white and wasn't metallic like the others. This alien takes a syringe out of its pocket and stabs it into each of the family members and within moments the family fades into a coma.
