Introduction

"Miranda Joshua is here to pick you up for school " my elder brother Richmond called out to me

My name's Miranda Lambert am 16 a high school student with a heart of stone.
It's weird to say that I have a heart of stone but that's the whole truth.
Growing up I've always known that I was a beauty, my long legs, full hips, high cheek bones, and a delicate figure.
I hated life for one thing which was love.
My parents are divorced now I and my brother Richmond stay with my mum.
My dad was such a jerk after being married by a woman for 10 years he just turned up one night and said to my mum that he never loved her he only wanted her to fill the empty space in his heart.
My dads mum died the year he got married to my mum he wanted to die with grief he tried committing  suicide once and was stopped by his brother.
He hated us Richmond and I,  He abandoned his 8 year ago son and his 4 year old daughter he abandoned his own wife my mum who has been loyal to him.
I hated him then and I still hate him there as a little girl seeing my mum cry her eyes out every night I told my self never to allow a guy and the better of me.

Joshua Brown a senior year student in school is currently my boyfriend although Ive dated alot of his friends he still sticks by me like glue thinking that one day I'll mysteriously fall crazily in love with him.
I rushed down stairs to hug Richmond "cupcake you've got to be home before 6 Stella's coming ". I rolled my eyes at him
"And why is that? "
"Miranda we've been through this already...   I love Stella and we're getting married "
"Married?!!! "
I yelled at him
"Richie you want to risk your heart to a girl you barely even know??!! "
"Miranda am not having this conversation with you.... Go to school "
I moved closer to him and kept my hands on my waist
"And what if I don't want to?!? "
I asked
"Miranda stop it!!! "
He yelled at me. Richmond my honey pie yelled at me. I turned my face to meet my mums eyes which was already soaked with tears "I sorry "
Was all she could say Richie and I held our hands to her as she kept on crying "Miranda honey.... " she started cleaning her face with the back of her hand
"Pls come home before 6..... Pls for me honey " she begged I loved this woman so much to allow her cry this much I looked up to Richie his eyes looked back at me and I could see tears coming out slowly I rushed to hug him"I'll be back early only if you promise to get me cake "
He smiled at me softly "I will honey now rush out now you've allowed that Joshua guy wait for so long "
Ahhh Joshua  I just remembered
"Nahh he can wait longer" as I hugged my mum who was now looking at the both of us and laughing I hugged Richie then rushed out of the house quickly grabbing a sandwich from a plate.
