"I'll think about it." I nodded, though I had a feeling my mind was already made up.

I grabbed my bag and walking to the beginning of my new life.

Down by Jason Walker

I got all the letters and was waiting to open them. I was scared. I left the house and went to the woods. At least I would be alone when it happened. I kept walking for about ten minutes before I decided I was definitely far away enough from society.

There were seven letters in my hands.

Seven.

Seven different paths of life.

Well I guess eight.

I wasn't certain I was going to get in. But I wasn't certain I wasn't going to either.

Some of them were really pristine schools and I have tried my hardest but sometimes it just isn't enough.

First letter. Here we go.

No.

Second.

No

Third.

No.

No. No. No. No.

My hands were shaking and there was nothing I could do to stop them. I leaned against the nearest tree and sunk down. My head fell between my knees and the stinging feeling in my eyes had finally gave out holding on, and the tears started falling. My entire body was shaking with the sobs, and if I'm being honest, I didn't see it ending anytime soon.

I don't know how long it was, but it was long enough. Someone had started heading towards me, and to my dismay, I tried as best as I could to quiet my unwanted sobs so they wouldn't hear me.

Apparently that's not what the world wanted though.

"Jason?" I heard a voice call. "What's wrong?" She asked in a small voice.

She had come and knelt down next to me. But when I didn't answer, the slightest hint of a smile took over her features and she whispered, "Hi."

"Hello, Samantha." I snapped back.

She rolled her eyes back, "Don't be like that. I know you're upset, but that doesn't mean you need to take it out on me."

I sighed letting my head fall into my knees, "I know, I'm sorry." She's had some bad experiences with people that called her by her first name so she just goes by Sam now. I really didn't need to bring that back for her.
"I know you're not feeling good about this, but there are other options."
I look at her with an unamused expression and she continued. "Take a year off with me? It'll be fun. I'm leaving for Europe in three weeks. We can still get you a flight. Please."
Still uncertain about it, I didn't say anything. "It will just get your mind off it for a little while. You can clear your head then get back into it afterwards."

Maybe it's not such a bad idea. "Okay I'll come. But I'm done trying with this. For good." There was no mistaking the shock in her expression. But she took that as a response for now at least.

"We will talk about you walking away from your dreams later. Let's just focus on the trip for now." With that, she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the forest. I could tell she was excited for the trip.

Hey, Princess by Allstar Weekend

Hey, Kayden.

This may be abrupt, but you should know what you're getting yourself into.

Be ready tonight at 9 o'clock exactly, we shall proceed from there.

But only be ready, if you are prepared for what's to come.
If not, I don't want you anyway.

~Ever

What she was going to do now was beyond me, but I couldn't stop the feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

I couldn't help but smile. She was the only person who called me Kayden, instead of Your Highness, apart from my family, but I loved it.

There was something to be desired about her straightforwardness.

It was six at the time and I decided I would get everything ready. I had a feeling I knew what was to come and I wouldn't back out. Not this time.

When nine o'clock came around, I was waiting in my room, anticipating what was to come. Nine on the dot and a vent opened from my ceiling and out came Ever. It must have been a twelve foot drop, but with her wearing all black with her hair tied up into a high pony, I knew she was prepared for it.

She stood up and stalked up to me. "You coming?" She asked.

I smiled at her, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her close. "Hey, princess."

She rolled her eyes, "I'm not a princess."

I tilted her chin up and looked her in the eyes, "You're my princess."

There was a bit of blush on her face but she pulled away slightly, getting back to business. "Are you coming?"

"Without question."

She smiled at me. "Good." With that she took off into a run, jumped up onto the railing of my balcony, then flipped off, landing on her feet.

The room only being on the second floor, but that was still a long drop.

"I think I'll take the ladder." I called down to her as I grabbed my backpack. She laughed at me and politely waited.

Once I got to the bottom, she grabbed my hand, rose up onto her toes and kissed me. "Let's take the world by storm."

Caught in the gleam in her eyes, I responded, "Together."

 "I'm afraid because I know I can't fight forever."

"You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry, but do not give up."

"I can and I will."
