As a innocent 14 year old Elizabeth Ryder was kidnapped, taken away from her loving family. Elizabeth learned to live again after being stolen away, she learned to live with the Vampires. Hans and his herd of vampires kept Elizabeth captive for many years until he realised that he loved Elizabeth. The two soon got married and Hans changed Elizabeth into a vampire; one of his kind. Soon Elizabeth fell pregnant, this was not what Hans wanted. On many attempts he tried to kill Elizabeth, but on those many attempts he failed. Hans' maid Henrietta was the only living soul who knew about Hans secret mission to kill Elizabeth and when she accidentally let it slip to Elizabeth the only words she told Henrietta to pass onto Hans were, "Watch your back." Before she jumped from the window and slipped away into the night.
