"How's the project going?" I was in the science classroom with Jay, working on the project that was assigned to us. I decided we needed to stay after school to work on it so Jay wouldn't be distracted by video games and her phone. I put her cell phone in my backpack and made pure it was put on silent. "It would be a lot better if you helped me instead of sitting on that nasty floor." I continued cutting and gluing various facts onto a giant tripod. We were working on a project about hurricanes and hurricane safety, because of the whole end of the world hurricane coming for us. I let out a quiet sigh and pulled Jay up onto one of the science stools that went with the marble counter we were working at.
Out of no where I heard the door to the classroom bang open. Jay and I turned our glances over to the door to see Bryce standing there, looking rather pissed. Obviously, Jay started immediately cowering behind me, seeing her angry boyfriend. "What do you want smelly Bryce? We're trying to work on our science project so please excuse yourself out sweaty." I gave the boy a glare to try and intimidate him away, even though I knew nobody was really intimidating to that boy, he was practically a heartless being, he never showed any fear. "Kaylen was supposed to come help me with a boss today, why is she here with YOU?" Bryce shouted at us, making Jay shiver more. "I-its Jay! I've fucking told you this you dimwit!!"
Bryce didn't seem to care about Jay's input in the conversation. "She's my girlfriend, not yours. If she told me shes going to do something with me then you cant just hog her." The pale boy walked over and pushed me out of the way. He picked up Jay bridal style and carried her out. "Hey wait! She's helping me with my project!" I pushed myself back up against the counter and yelled at Bryce to bring Jay back. "Look outside, it's sunset. Go home before you fall asleep on that counter." He turned his back to me and took Jay with him. "Maybe it is time to go home. He still didn't have to be a total C U C K about it...." I folded the presentation and picked up my black backpack.
