Chapter 1

Every year, on May 31st I get to experience what it is like to be another person, since I was 18, I got to feel what it is like to be in another life.

It was great, but I never knew why it happened until I asked my parents. They too said this happened to them,well it used to. My parents told me that every year, on May 31st all people on our planet get to experience what it is like to be in your soulmate's body for only 10 minutes.

Only 10.

My parents mentioned that our leader, shiux, managed to make up this rule about 98 years ago to maintain our planet from over population,due to the fact that we lived in a planet with scarce supplies to all live on. The rule was that if you didn't stay with the person you were assigned to,you had to die.

Most people,not wanting to risk their lives, stayed with the person they were assigned to because for starters, it was easier to find "love" this way and they also didn't want their life to end. Moreover, some people decided to break the rules. These people didn't like the person they were assigned to,they either liked someone else's partner,or they just didn't want to marry or be with anybody,and this caused alot of issues.

Alot of people were complaining their soulmate was stolen,or that they didn't want to die due to the fact that their soulmate decided to be with another person, therefore making him/herself get killed,as well as their assigned partner.

Our ruler, shiux, did not mind killing the people that reveled because it helped with the issue of over population.

Life was difficult in my planet, but it wasn't impossible because I had the faith of finding a love equally as strong as my parents'.

When they met each other, it was how most people in our planet meet, they were paired up on May 31st after their 18th birthday. Despite the fact that they lived in different countries and spoke different languages, they somehow managed to leave each other notes every year in the 10 minutes they had while they were in each other's body.

Yes, it must have been gross if you were a female and all of a sudden you appeared on a male's body and he needed to pee but he couldn't because he was just recently morphed into another person's body.

Now, how people morphed into each other's body, I'll explain later.

My mom explained to me that it was very difficult to translate gargmiol into mash, but ever since the first time they went to each other's body she had started to take a gargmoil course to learn the language.

My dad did the same thing, since he did not know any mash, every time that he got a note from my mom, he had to go to his parents, so they could translate the note to him, he got lucky that his parents knew mash because unlike my mother, she had to go to her gargmoil college professor so she could translate the note.

My mom mentioned that it was extremely awkward due to the fact that my dad always sent her lovey-dovey things in the notes. Despite of him not even knowing how my mom looked like, he didn't care because he was doing this to save his life and hers.

Once they got to meet when they were both around the age of 22, they instantly got married because they considered to be a couple after they realized that they had been paired as soulmates. They basically made May 31st a "date" so that they could get to know each other.

I have no idea how they managed to have a date while being in each other's body, like could you imagine that?

"Hey let's go watch a movie"

"Sure"

10 minutes later

"Oh man! The movie hasn't even started it's all commercials and we bearly started!"

My parents must have alot of patience if they did that for 4 years!

My 18th birthday would be soon, and when I mean soon I mean like it's 3 months away, I was beyond excited.

This meant that in only 3 months, just 3, I would meet my soulmate, unless his birthday was more months than mine, then that meant I had to wait another year to meet him.

It was killing me to wait, usually I am a patient person,but for this it was different, this could literally decide if I live or not. He could probably not like me, and want another girl and then shiux would realize this and kill us both.

I was utterly impatient yet at the same time I wish the day did not come because if it did I had the risk of dying.

But as our planet says, no risk no reward, am I right? I hated my planet's quotes, they were all made up by shiux. Oh right, did I mention that shiux did not have a wife? Well isn't that hypocrisy?
Instead of having set an example for us , he decided to have many wives
