"Libby, hurry the bus is coming. We're going to be late!!" yelled Daniel, Libby's best friend in the entire world. They have been best friends since the first grade and it was no surprise that they were still the best of friend currently in their seventh grade year together.
"Okay okay I'm coming Dani!" Libby screamed back. She ran to the bus stop and reached it with perfect timing as the bust pulled up right next to her. She and Daniel went to their usual spot in the back of the bus and started talking about who knows what. It seemed like nonsense to everyone else, but to these two kids it wasn't. They called it "normal conversations... just about random things", at least that what they said to their parents. Elizabeth and Daniel were so caught up in talking about frogs that when the bus pulled up to the school, they were told by the bus driver to get off, like usual. Just as the two were stepping off the bus Halli passed by, which made Daniel stop dead in his tracks. He had the biggest crush on Halli which of course led him to being completely oblivious about Elizabeth's crush on Daniel. Typical. But that never stopped Elizabeth's crush no matter how hard she tried, which was upsetting and heart breaking to her. She was almost convinced that she was in love with him, and the only reason why wasn't one hundred percent about it was because she spent many nights talking and crying to her mom about him. Her mom always gave the best advice she could to Elizabeth which had worked for some time now, so Libby had settled for "crush because I'm only twelve and I don't know what love is" and not "the absolute love of my life."
Now, we skip ahead a few more years where Libby now has to move due to her father's job.
Libby looked Daniel in the face and hugged him one last time with tears spilling out of her eyes.
"Promise me you'll be strong. We'll call each other everyday and everything will be fine. Don't worry Eliza, we've been best friends for 10 years. We'll get through this." She nodded her head while wiping her tears. "I love you Daniel and I will miss you so much" she sniffles. "I love you too Eliza" he says placing a kiss on her forehead with his plump lips. She turns around and walks to the car with her head hanging and sits down in the backseat, she looks out the window with sad eyes to see her best friend and her house with a for sale sign in the yard. Libby waves and her dad drives off. She sighs and hopes that she will find some way to survive without him.
