Guren was his happiness, even if he was unreasonably stubborn, he still loved him. He was allowed to see a side that no one else had before, and Shinya savored the feeling, loving how the raven haired man made him feel. They were happy, so happy, they made a promise,
"We'll stay with each other, no matter what..." Tears started flowing down Shinya's face, remembering that day, wishing to go back in time, when they were happy, when they both said,
"Til Death do us part."
Now, as he held Guren in his arms, watching the crimson stain spread across his shirt front, he was angry, upset, betrayed...alone.
It wasn't supposed to end like this, they weren't supposed to end this early.
He wondered how this would have been different, if only he had not allowed himself to love...to be truly happy.
He knew this was going to happen, he put Guren in danger, for his own selfish reasons.
He places his forehead on Guren's, feeling a warm hand cup his cheek, sapphire hues searching crimson
"Shinya..." he whispered,
"Don't cry...don't shed tears for me, you'll find someone better..."
Guren's eyes slowly closed shut as he let those final 3 words slip from his lips, his breathing becoming shorter and shallower,
"I love you."
