Soon the summer sun that tanned my light skin faded away into the cool crisp day of September first. As I sat on my overflowing suitcase, trying to fit all my scarves and new spell books in, I pondered the curious thought of how my fifth year at my beloved school would go. I couldn't wait to reunite with my three soulmates. Speaking of, I should probably tell you about them! Let's start with my sweet angel Delanie Madison, better known as Della to me, was a sweet 15 year old Hufflepuff with shoulder length straight honey blonde hair and gold circle framed glasses. Her heart was made of absolute honey and the way she spoke so softly was as comforting as a beautiful Saturday sunset. Always trying to get everyone to laugh with her sarcastic lighthearted humor, she brightened up any room the moment she walked in. She was often seen running in the yellow flower fields in a knee length sun dress, loosely gripping the hand of her dear Cedric Diggory. Then there's the easily adored Brinley Loup, who is often referred to as Brin. An intelligent young witch, who came with the blue badge of being an exquisite Ravenclaw girl. She had long beautiful curly hair that was as brown as the autumn leaves. She was the easiest and most interesting human being to speak to, and never hesitated to stand up for any friend who was in need. She favored to sit by the warm fire and read history books about our beloved castle in her common room, rather than to celebrate the victory of a house quidditch match. She often wore her long curly locks in a high ponytail to keep it out of her way. She had the most beautiful baby brown eyes and the sweetest freckles kissed upon her cheeks. Brinley was so alluring, that even the one and only Ansel Carpenter had taken a very noticeable interest into her. They were constantly flirting behind posts between classes, savoring the little time they were able to spend together. Of course, Brinley being Ravenclaw and Ansel being Slytherin, the destined love was written in the stars, but the people on the ground walking beside them, were never able to accept their relationship. I could never forget the vivacious Brady Kennedy. The most loyal witch of our age. She had chin length wavy bright orange hair and the longest black eyelashes I had ever layed my eyes on. She was of course, a brave honorary Gryffindor. Brady's soul was made of galaxies and recycled stardust. She quite loved confrontation, and often daydreamed in the great hall about one day becoming a Gryffindor seeker, for the house quidditch team. Brady's love life was simple, she never seemed to bother with boys. The other two and I were often worried about her lack of interest. That was until I received the letter via post owl two weeks into the sunny month of June, from Brady herself telling me and the girls that she had discovered she was in fact an asexual/aromantic. While we were embracing her edges with open arms, Brady unfortunately spent the rest of summer avoiding her parents, who had continued to force heterosexuality on her even with the knowledge of her true identity. She and I had our run ins every once in a while, considering she is quick to choose what her mind knows is right, while on the contrary, I choose to act on what my heart is telling me. Oh right, then there of course is myself. My name is Acacia Koln. I have long straight black silky hair down to my hips, a silver nose ring on the left nostril, baby blue eyes, and roughly a million freckles painted all on my face. I, of course am often referred to as the Slytherin Princess. My robes made of crushed green velvet and my long eyelashes are a staple of my enchanting snake like look. I am very quick to anger and it is difficult for me to find friends who I don't want to be rid of within the time of 14 days. Yet, my heart still never failed to swell for the one and only, Peter Jacobs. The most lovely boy I have ever connected with. He had dark black curly hair and the messiest eyebrows. His eyes were as brown as the fur of a chocolate lab and his skin was as white as the pale moonlight. It is so rare to physically feel your heart magnetically connect with someone, but when someone is your true soulmate such as Parker and I are, it's impossible not to be attached so soulfully.
I threw in my black leather journal and finally clasped the hooks on my suitcase. I grabbed my black cat Charlie and dashed out the door, prepared to return to my one true home and reconnect with the best friends my heart will ever know.
